The Swiss Super League is a Swiss professional league in the top tier of the Swiss football league system and has been played in its current format since the 2003–04 season. As of January 2022, the Swiss Super League is ranked 20th in Europe according to UEFA's ranking of league coefficients, which is based upon Swiss team performances in European competitions.
The 2008–09 Swiss Super League was the 112th season of top-tier football in Switzerland. The competition is officially named AXPO Super League due to sponsoring purposes. It began on 18 July 2008 with a match between Young Boys Bern and reigning champions FC Basel, which the latter won by 2–1. The last matches were played in May 2009.
The 2012–13 BSC Young Boys season is the 115th season in club history.
The 2014–15 Swiss Super League was the 118th season of top-tier football in Switzerland. It began on 19 July 2014 and ended on 29 May 2015. Basel successfully defended their title for a record sixth time in a row.
The 2021–22 Grasshopper Club Zürich season is the club's first season back in the Swiss Super League, after having been playing two seasons in the Swiss Challenge League. The season started on July 24, 2021. Grasshopper Club Zürich will also participate in the Swiss Cup.
