Tunisia Country in Africa

Tunisia, officially the Republic of Tunisia, is the northernmost country in Africa. It is a part of the Maghreb region of North Africa, and is bordered by Algeria to the west and southwest, Libya to the southeast, and the Mediterranean Sea to the north and east; covering 163,610 km2 (63,170 sq mi), with a population of 11 million. It contains the eastern end of the Atlas Mountains and the northern reaches of the Sahara desert, with much of its remaining territory arable land. The 1994 African Cup of Nations was the 19th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the soccer championship of Africa (CAF). It was hosted by Tunisia, who replaced original hosts Zaire. Just as in 1992, the field of twelve teams was split into four groups of three. Nigeria won its second championship, beating Zambia in the final 2–1.

Espérance Sportive de Tunis, also known as ES Tunis and Espérance ST, is a Tunisian sports club based in Bab Souika neighbourhood of Tunis, Tunisia. It was made a diocese, keeping the name of Tunis, on 31 May 1995, and raised to the rank of archdiocese on 22 May 2010.

The Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 was previously called the Tunisian National Championship between 1956 and 1994. is the top division football tournament in Tunisia under the organization of the Tunisian Football Federation. The first edition was held during the French protectorate of Tunisia, the 1907 season, under the auspices of the Federation of Union des Sociétés Françaises de Sports Athlétiques, and it was played in a knockout system, and the first official match in the history of the tournament was played on 9 June 1907.

Tunis derby

In Tunisian football, the Tunis derby is the local derby between the two major clubs in the city of Tunis, Tunisia – Club Africain and Espérance. The derby is played in Rades in the Stade Olympique de Radès stadium due to its larger capacity of 65,000 seats. Before the construction of this stadium, the derby used to be played in the 45,000 seat-capacity Stade El Menzah.

Faouzi Benzarti Tunisian football player and coach

Faouzi Benzarti is a Tunisian former football player and the current coach of Wydad Casablanca. He spent his entire career as a player at his home club US Monastir without any achievements. His training career began and was only 29 years old, making it the youngest Tunisian coach at the time. He is considered one of the most successful coaches in Tunisia. He usually uses offensive play and a high-pressure plan as he is known for his toughness in training and his excessive anger towards his players and referees. During his managerial career, he was in charge of two national teams: the Tunisian and Libyan national football teams, he was also close to signing with the Moroccan team in 2016 before appointing Hervé Renard.

Youssef Zouaoui is a Tunisian footballer. Since 1983, he has played for major clubs and national teams. He was also a big player in the CA Bizerte (CAB), and remains the second leading scorer in the club's history.

2014 African Volleyball Clubs Champions Championship International football competition

The 2014 African Volleyball Clubs Champions Championship was the 33rd staging of African's premier club volleyball competition held in Sousse, Tunisia over 20–29 March. The champions of the tournament will qualify for 2014 FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship in Belo Horizonte, Brazil as Africa's representative.

Fadhila Louati is a retired amateur Tunisian freestyle wrestler, who competed in the women's flyweight category. Considered one of the nation's top wrestlers in her decade, Louati has yielded a marvelous record of three gold medals in her career hardware at the All-Africa Games, and at the 2001 Mediterranean Games in Tunis. She also had an opportunity to represent her nation Tunisia in the 48-kg division at the 2004 Summer Olympics, finishing fourteenth in the process. Louati is also a member of the wrestling squad for Centre Intégré de Radès in her native Tunis, under her personal coach Noureddine Mefri.

2019 Mens African Volleyball Championship

The 2019 Men's African Volleyball Championship was the 22nd edition of the Men's African Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB). The tournament was held in Tunis, Tunisia from 21 to 28 July 2019.
