The 2014 Americas Rugby Championship season was the fifth season of the Americas Rugby Championship. It took place between 11 and 19 October 2014 in Langford, British Columbia. [1] The tournament featured the same teams as in the 2013 version: Argentina Jaguars, Canada Selects, USA Selects, and Uruguay. [2] The Argentina Jaguars won the tournament for a fifth straight time, once again going undefeated in three matches. [3] [4] [5]

The United States men's national rugby union team, nicknamed the Eagles, represents the United States of America Rugby Football Union in men's international rugby union. USA Rugby is the national governing body for the sport of rugby union in the United States, and is a member of Rugby Americas North, one of six regional governing bodies under World Rugby. Until rugby returned to Olympic competition, with sevens at the 2016 Rio Games, the United States was the reigning Olympic rugby champion, having won gold at the 1920 and 1924 Summer Olympics.
Rugby union in the United States is played at youth, high school, college, amateur, professional, and international levels and governed by USA Rugby. There were over 125,000 players registered with USA Rugby as of 2016. Over 2,500 rugby union clubs exist around the country, including those who are part of college rugby. Professional club competition has existed as Major League Rugby (MLR) since 2017.
The United States national rugby sevens team competes in international rugby sevens competitions. The national sevens team is organized by USA Rugby, and the team has been led by Head Coach Mike Friday since 2014.

Originally competed by various interlocking combinations of club, second-tier national and top national sides, the current international tournament has the top national sides competing. The current format provides these top national teams with additional test matches to be counted in the World Rugby Rankings.
The Canadian Rugby Championship (CRC) was a Canadian amateur rugby union competition, partially funded by the World Rugby. It was the highest level of men's domestic rugby in Canada. Four representative teams from regions across Canada competed for the MacTier Cup. The CRC was started in 2009 by Rugby Canada and was held annually from August to September. The tournament featured the same teams as in the 2012 version, Argentina Jaguars, Canada Selects, USA Selects, and Uruguay. Uruguay qualified by placing second, behind Argentina, at the 2013 edition of the South American Rugby Championship.

The Argentina Jaguars won the tournament going undefeated in three matches.
