The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Its fourteen members include the flagship public universities of ten states, three additional public land-grant universities, and one private research university. The conference is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The SEC participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I in sports competitions; for football it is part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A.
The 2007 SEC softball tournament was held at Jane B. Moore Field on the campus of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, from May 10 through May 12, 2007. LSU won the tournament and earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic bid to the 2007 NCAA tournament.
The 2006 SEC softball tournament was held at the Georgia Softball Stadium on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia from May 11 through May 13, 2006. Tennessee won the tournament and earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
The 2004 SEC softball tournament was held at the University of Alabama Softball Stadium on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, from May 13 through May 16, 2004. LSU won the tournament and earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
The 2008 SEC softball tournament was held at Tiger Park on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from May 8 through May 10, 2008. Florida won the tournament and earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic bid to the 2008 NCAA Division I softball tournament.
The Georgia Bulldogs men's basketball program is the men's college basketball team representing the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Established in 1891, the team has competed in the Southeastern Conference since its inception in 1932. As of 2020 the Bulldogs have amassed a record of 1,434–1,319. Though it has been historically overshadowed by the school's football program, the Bulldogs' basketball squad has had its share of successes, including a trip to the NCAA Final Four in 1983 under head coach Hugh Durham.
The South Carolina Gamecocks softball team represents the University of South Carolina in NCAA Division I college softball. The team joined the Southeastern Conference in 1997 when the conference began to sponsor the sport. Prior to 1997, the team competed as an independent. Home games are played at the Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field. The softball team has won three SEC titles and participated in eleven Women's College World Series. At the end of the 2014 regular season, their all-time record is 1,334–709–6 (.569).
The Florida Gators softball team represents the University of Florida in the sport of softball. Florida competes in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Gators play their home games at Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus, and are currently led by head coach Tim Walton. In the twenty-six year history of the Florida Softball program, the team has won two Women's College World Series (WCWS) national championships, nine SEC regular season championships, five SEC tournament championships, and have made eleven WCWS appearances.
The 2009 NCAA Division I softball tournament was held from May 15 through June 3, 2009 as part of the 2009 NCAA Division I softball season. The 64 NCAA Division I college softball teams were selected out of an eligible 284 teams on May 10, 2009. 30 teams were awarded an automatic bid as champions of their conference, and 34 teams were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Softball Selection Committee. The tournament culminated with eight teams playing in the 2009 Women's College World Series at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The 2011 SEC softball tournament was held at the Ole Miss Softball Complex on the campus of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi on May 12 through May 14, 2011. The winner of the tournament received the conference's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division I softball tournament. The Tennessee Lady Volunteers were the 2011 SEC softball tournament champions.
The 2012 SEC softball tournament was held at Rhoads Stadium on the campus of The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on May 10 through May 12, 2012. The Alabama Crimson Tide won the tournament for the 5th time in their history, and received the conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I softball tournament.
The Arkansas Razorbacks softball team represents the University of Arkansas in NCAA Division I College softball. The team competes in the Southeastern Conference, and plays its home games at Bogle Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Razorbacks are currently led by head coach Courtney Deifel.
The Little League Softball World Series is a softball tournament for girls aged 10 to 12 years old. It was first held in 1974 and is held every August at Stallings Stadium in Greenville, North Carolina, in the United States. Little League expanded the field of World Series participants to 12 in 2022, adding 2 regions in the United States. Before being held in Greenville, it was held outside of Portland, Oregon at Alpenrose Stadium.
The 2013 Southeastern Conference softball tournament was held on May 8 through the 11th at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Ky. The Florida Gators beat the Missouri Tigers 10–4 in their first win since 2009. Freshman center fielder Kirsti Merritt—the MVP of Florida Gators—had two homers, seven RBI, four runs, a walk and two stolen bases.

The tournament will earn the Southeastern Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I softball tournament. The Championship game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and the semifinals will be broadcast on ESPNU, while all other SEC tournament games will be live on the SEC Network.
The 2016 Auburn Tigers softball team is an American softball team, representing Auburn University for the 2016 NCAA softball season. The Auburn Tigers play their home games at Jane B. Moore Field.

Kelly Katlyn Barnhill is an American, former collegiate All-American, professional softball pitcher. She played college softball for the Florida Gators from 2016 to 2019 and was named the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, Honda Sports Award and espnW Player of the Year in 2017. She is the career no hitters (7), strikeouts, strikeout ratio (10.5) and WHIP leader for the Gators. She also ranks in career strikeout ratio for both the Southeastern Conference and the NCAA Division I.
