Sergey Lagutin is a former professional road racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2004 and 2018 for seven different teams, and represented both Russia and Uzbekistan in competition. He now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team Team Novo Nordisk Development.
Javier Mejías Leal is a Spanish former professional road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2006 and 2017 for Fuji–Servetto, and Team Novo Nordisk. At the age of fifteen, Mejías was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Mejías was born, raised, and resides in Madrid, Madrid, Spain.

James Glasspool is an Australian former professional road racing cyclist, who competed professionally for Team Novo Nordisk in 2015 and 2016. He now works as a coach for the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI).

The 2021 Trofeo Laigueglia was a one-day road cycling race that took place on 2 March 2021 in and around Laigueglia, Liguria, on the northwestern coast of Italy. It was the 58th edition of the Trofeo Laigueglia and was rated as a 1.Pro event as part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries. The race covered 202 kilometres (126 mi) and finished off with four laps of a finishing circuit that was 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) long and featured two short and sharp climbs, the Colla Micheri and the Capo Mele.
