Sylvain Chavanel is a French former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2000 and 2018 for the Cofidis, Omega Pharma–Quick-Step, IAM Cycling and two spells with the Brioches La Boulangère/Direct Énergie team. His brother Sébastien Chavanel also rode as a professional cyclist. Sylvain Chavanel was noted as a strong all-rounder who won both sprints and time-trials, and was a good northern classics rider, taking 45 wins during his professional career.

Alexandre Pliușchin is a Moldovan former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2008 and 2015. He still competes as an amateur, riding for Abu Dhabi CC. He is a four-time National Road Race Champion; winning in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Pliuschin also represented Moldova in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, having participated in the Men's Road Race and the Men's Individual Pursuit.

The 2010 season for Quick-Step began in January with the Tour Down Under and ended in October at the Giro di Lombardia. As a UCI ProTour team, they were automatically invited and obliged to attend every event in the ProTour. The team looks to remain as one of the world's foremost in the spring classics. Its ridership is mostly unchanged from 2009, in spite of an offseason attempt to sign reigning Tour de France champion Alberto Contador.

The 2013 Glava Tour of Norway was the third edition of the Glava Tour of Norway road cycling race. It was held over a period of five days between 15 and 19 May 2013. The race was a part of the 2013 UCI Europe Tour with a race classification of 2.1. Top Norwegian cyclists competing in the race included Edvald Boasson Hagen, Lars Petter Nordhaug, and Alexander Kristoff, with the notable exception of Thor Hushovd, who raced in the 2013 Tour of California instead.

Sébastien Reichenbach is a Swiss cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam Tudor Pro Cycling Team. During his professional career, he has also competed for Atlas Personal (2010–2011), IAM Cycling (2013–2015), and Groupama–FDJ (2016–2022).

The 2014 GP Ouest-France was the 78th edition of the GP Ouest-France, a single-day cycling race. It was held on 31 August 2014, over a distance of 229.1 km (142.4 mi), starting and finishing in Plouay, France. It was the twenty-fourth race of the 2014 UCI World Tour season.

The 2013 IAM Cycling season was the first season of the IAM Cycling team, which was founded in 2012. The team competed on the UCI Professional Continental level.
