The Union Cycliste Internationale is the world governing body for sports cycling and oversees international competitive cycling events. The UCI is based in Aigle, Switzerland.

Alistair Donohoe is an Australian para-cyclist with a right arm impairment. He is a multiple medallist at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships and UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships. He won silver medals in the Men's Individual Pursuit C5 and Men's Road Time Trial at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Regan Gough is a New Zealand professional racing cyclist. He rode at the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships where he won gold in the team pursuit. He was first on stage two of the 2014 Tour de Vineyards. At the 2014 UCI Juniors Track World Championships he won the madison and points race junior titles. Alongside Pieter Bulling, Aaron Gate, and Dylan Kennett, he came fourth in the men's team pursuit at the 2016 Rio Olympics, being beaten by Denmark to the bronze medal.
The UCI Trials World Championships are the world championship events in trials organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the governing body of world cycling. The first three finishers in each category are awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals. The winner of each category is also entitled to wear the rainbow jersey in events in that category until the following year's World Championships.
