The 2015 Adamawa State gubernatorial election occurred in Nigeria on April 11, 2015. APC candidate Bindo Jibrilla won the election, defeating Markus Gundiri of the SDP. [1] [2] [3]

Bindo Jibrilla emerged APC gubernatorial candidate after scoring 2,718 votes and defeating his closest rival, Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayaji who received 2,268 votes. APC primary

The APC primary election was held on December 4, 2014. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri won the primary election polling 1,656 votes against 5 other candidates. His closest rival was Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayaji, who came second with 2,268 votes, Mustapha scored 515 votes, Ahmed Barata scored 452 votes, while Yakubu Tsalla and Emmanuel Bello got 147 and 50 votes respectively. A total number of 8 candidates registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission to contest in the election. [3]

Total number of votes cast was 706,092, while number of valid votes was 684,050. Rejected votes were 27,790. [4]

The 2023 Nigerian gubernatorial elections were held for state governors in 31 out of 36 Nigerian states. All but three elections were held on 18 March—concurrent with elections to every state house of assembly, three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections—while the Imo State, Kogi State, and Bayelsa State elections will be held on 11 November. The 2023 Adamawa State gubernatorial election took place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Adamawa State, concurrent with elections to the Adamawa State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election — which was postponed from its original 11 March date — was held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri (PDP) was re-elected by a 3.75% margin over first runner-up and APC nominee — Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed.

The 2023 Kaduna State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Kaduna State, concurrent with elections to the Kaduna State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third term.
