The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Its fourteen members include the flagship public universities of ten states, three additional public land-grant universities, and one private research university. The conference is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The SEC participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I in sports competitions; for football it is part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A.
The College World Series (CWS), officially the NCAA Men's College World Series (MCWS), is an annual baseball tournament held in June in Omaha, Nebraska. She was the inaugural winner of both the espnW Softball Player of the Year in 2015 and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Player of the Year in 2016, when she also took home the Honda Sports Award Softball Player of the Year and USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year awards. She is one of nine NCAA players to hit .400 with 200 RBIs, 50 home runs and an .800 slugging percentage for her career and was named the #5 Greatest College Softball Player.
The American Athletic Conference softball tournament is the conference championship tournament in college softball for the American Athletic Conference. It is a single-elimination tournament, with seeding based on regular season records. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Softball Championship each season. The Tournament champion is separate from the conference champion. The conference championship is determined solely by regular season record.

It was held at Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, from May 10–14, 2022. As the tournament winner, Arkansas earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I softball tournament. The championship game, as well as the semifinals, were broadcast on ESPN2, while all other tournament games were televised on the SEC Network.
The 2022 Big 12 Conference softball tournament was held at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from May 12 through May 14, 2022. As the tournament winner, Oklahoma State earned the Big 12 Conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I softball tournament.
