The 2015 European U23 Wrestling Championships was the first edition of European U23 Wrestling Championships of combined events, and took place from March 24 to 29 in Walbrzych, Poland. [1] [2]

Cenk İldem is a male wrestler from Turkey competing in the 96 kg division of Greco-Roman style. He is a member of the İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi S.K., where he is coached by his father Hüseyin İldem.
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well. Since 1970 the two Olympic wrestling styles were contested together during the same unified events. Since 1973 Sambo wrestling was included into the championships programme along with GR and freestyle wrestling. Since 2014 associated traditional wrestling styles recognized globally by UWW were incorporated into the annual championships schedule.
Islam Abbasov is an Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler. In March 2021, he qualified at the European Qualification Tournament to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. In June 2021, he won one of the bronze medals in his event at the 2021 Wladyslaw Pytlasinski Cup held in Warsaw, Poland.
Semen Novikov is a Bulgarian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the gold medal in the 87 kg event at the 2020 European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy. He previously represented Ukraine.
Alina Hrushyna-Akobiia is a Ukrainian freestyle wrestler. She won one of the bronze medals in the 57 kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. She is a four-time medalist, including two gold medals, at the European Wrestling Championships.
Cengiz Arslan is a Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the silver medal in the 72 kg event at the 2019 European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania. In the final, he lost against Abuyazid Mantsigov of Russia.
Mohammad Hadi Saravi Darkolaei is an Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the gold medal in the 97 kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway. He also won one of the bronze medals in the 97 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. In 2020, he won the gold medal in his event at the Asian Wrestling Championships held in New Delhi, India.
Kerem Kamal is a Turkish wrestler competing in the 60 kg division of Greco-Roman wrestling. He is a member of İzmir BB GSK He won the gold medal in the 60 kg event at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.
Mantas Knystautas is a Lithuanian wrestler, who competes in the men's 130 kg Greco-Roman division. He won one of the bronze medals in the 130 kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia.
Arvi Martin Savolainen is a Finnish Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the silver medal in the 97 kg event at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.
Emin Narimanovitch Sefershaev is a Russian Greco-Roman wrestler of Crimean Tatar heritage. In 2021, he became the European champion in the 55 kg event at the European Wrestling Championships in Warsaw, Poland and, in that same year, he won the silver medal in this event at the World Wrestling Championships in Oslo, Norway.
Ekrem Öztürk is a Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler. He is a member of İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi S.K. He is a bronze medalist at the World Wrestling Championships and a two-time medalist at the European Wrestling Championships.
Kiryl Maskevich is a Belarusian Greco-Roman wrestler. He is a silver medalist at both the World Wrestling Championships and the European Wrestling Championships. He also represented Belarus at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan in the men's 87 kg event.

He won a gold medal at the international Golden Grand Prix tournament in Baku in 2016, and a silver medal at the 2017 Greco-Roman Wrestling World Cup in Abadan, Iran. He is a five-time national champion. In 2019, he was awarded a gold medal at the World Beach Wrestling Championship in Zagreb, Croatia. Since 2020, he is the head coach of the Azerbaijani beach wrestling team.
