The 2015 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Champions Cup was the first edition of the tournament, and was held in Detroit, United States from 21 to 23 May 2015. The top two teams qualified for the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup. [1] Canada won the tournament for the first time in its history.
The hosts United States and the top three ranked teams from the NORCECA Ranking as of 1 January 2015 [2] which had not yet qualified to the 2015 World Cup. Rankings are shown in brackets except the hosts who ranked 1st.

The 2012 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the seventh edition of the annual men's volleyball tournament, played by eight countries over July, 2012 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The event served as a qualifier for the 2013 FIVB Volleyball World League qualification.

But, as Cuba later won the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's Challenger Cup and qualified for the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League, the runners-up Dominican Republic succeeded to the 2023 Challenger Cup qualification.
