The Aggies lost both their Defensive and offensive coordinators (DC Todd Orlando to Houston and OC Kevin McGiven to Oregon State)
Among notable player losses to graduation were S Brian Suite, LB Zach Vigil, DE B.J. Larsen, WR Ronald Butler, and OL Kevin Whimpey. Another notable loss was QB Darrel Garretson announcing that he would be transferring to Oregon State University.
On June 29, it was announced that Bruce "JoJo" Natson was released from the team for violation of unspecified team rules. [1]
On May 18, 2015, demolition began on the west side of Maverik Stadium to make way for a new concourse, press box, and luxury box complex. Construction lasted throughout the season, and as a result, the stadium's capacity was temporarily reduced.

Matthew Scribner Wells is an American football coach and former quarterback who currently serves as Associate Head Coach, Co-Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Kansas State. Wells previously served as the offensive coordinator and then head coach at Utah State University, where he was named Mountain West conference coach of the year in 2013 and again in 2018. He was named head coach of Texas Tech on November 29, 2018, and led the team until his firing midway through the 2021 season. He also served as an offensive analyst for Oklahoma under Head Coach Brent Venables during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Maverik Stadium, also known as Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium, is an outdoor college football stadium in the Western United States, on the campus of Utah State University in Logan, Utah. The home field of the Utah State Aggies of the Mountain West Conference, it opened 56 years ago in 1968 as "Romney Stadium" and currently has a seating capacity of 25,513. Its field has a traditional north–south alignment, and sits at an elevation of 4,710 feet (1,435 m) above sea level. The playing surface was natural grass through 2003, and is currently AstroTurf GameDay Grass.
