The 2016 American Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Florida from May 24 through May 29. The event, held at the end of the conference regular season, determined the champion of the American Athletic Conference for the 2016 season. The University of Connecticut won and received the conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2]

Format and seeding

All eight baseball teams in The American were seeded based on their records in conference play. The tournament used a two bracket double-elimination format, leading to a single championship game between the winners of each bracket. South Florida claimed the seventh seed over UCF by virtue of owning the third tie-breaker (season series tied 3-3; both teams 0-3 versus Tulane; USF 2-1 versus East Carolina, UCF 0-3 versus East Carolina). War on I-4 Rivalry between the South Florida Bulls and UCF Knights

The War on I-4 is a college rivalry between the University of Central Florida Knights and University of South Florida Bulls. The rivalry is best known for its college football matchup which originated in a series of football games played from 2005 to 2008. In 2013, when UCF joined the American Athletic Conference, the schools began competing annually in all sports, with the yearly football game played on Thanksgiving weekend. In 2016, the schools officially adopted the "War on I-4" as an official competition series. 2014 American Athletic Conference Mens Basketball Tournament

The 2014 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament was the first conference tournament of the American Athletic Conference. It was the first conference tournament held since the split of the original Big East Conference. While The American is the legal successor to the old Big East, the rights to conference tournament in Madison Square Garden were retained by the new Big East, so the 2014 tournament was numbered as the new conference's first edition. The tournament was held March 12–15 in the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee and decided a champion of the 2013–14 American Athletic Conference men's basketball season. The teams in the conference competed in a ten-team single-elimination tournament for an automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

The 2019 American Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the American Athletic Conference held from November 3 to November 10, 2019. The first round was hosted by the higher seed, and the Semifinals and Final took place at the home field of the regular season champion. Memphis. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Memphis are the defending tournament champions. Memphis was unable to defend its title, losing 2–0 to South Florida in the final. USF's win was the program's second and also the second for coach Denise Schilte-Brown.

The 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament will be held from May 25 through May 30 at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina. The annual tournament will determine the conference champion of the Division I Atlantic Coast Conference for college baseball. The tournament champion, will receive the league's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
