Campeonato Catarinense Football league

The Campeonato Catarinense de Futebol, known as Campeonato Catarinense or simply Catarinense, is the main competition of association football from state of Santa Catarina, in Brazil.

The Campeonato Alagoano is the football league of the state of Alagoas, Brazil.

Campeonato Amapaense is the football league of the State of Amapá, Brazil. It is organized by the Amapá State Football Federation.

Between 1959 and 1970, two national championships existed to provide Brazilian representatives to Copa Libertadores. These were the Taça Brasil (1959–1968) and the Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa (1967–1970). The current Campeonato Brasileiro Série A was created in 1971 using the structure of Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa. Since then, the competition has never featured the same scheduling twice, either changing the number of participants or the structure. This lack of consistency has made the competition difficult for non-Brazilians to follow and contributed to the ignorance of the tournament amongst European and American press and public, on top of the standard disregard and prejudices.

The 81st season of the Campeonato Catarinense began on January 11, 2006, and ended on April 9, 2006.

In 2010, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, the third level of the Brazilian League, was contested by 20 clubs divided in four groups, followed by a playoff round, from July 18 to November 21, 2010. The top four clubs, the ones which qualified to the semifinals, were promoted to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B to be contested in 2011. Meanwhile, the bottom four clubs, the ones that finished in last place of each group, were relegated to 2011 Série D.

The 2012 Campeonato Catarinense - Divisão Principal was the 89th season of Santa Catarina's top professional football league. The competition began on 22 January and ended on 25 May. Avaí was the champion after win the two matches at finals against Figueirense.

The 2013 Campeonato Catarinense - Divisão Principal was the 90th season of Santa Catarina's top professional football league. The competition began on 19 January and ended on 19 May. Criciúma won the championship by the 10th time.

The 2013 Campeonato Brasiliense de Futebol was the 38th edition of the Distrito Federal's top professional football league. The competition began on January 19, and ended on May 19. Brasiliense won the championship by the 8th time, while Botafogo and Brazlândia were relegated.

The 2016 Campeonato Paraibano de Futebol was the 106th edition of Paraíba's top professional football league. The competition began on 30 January and ended on 15 June. Campinense were champions, for the 20th time.

2017 Campeonato Pernambucano Football league season

The 2017 Campeonato Pernambucano was the 103rd edition of the state championship of Pernambuco. The championship began on January 4 and ended on June 28. Twelve teams were competing, ten returning from the 2016 and two promoted from the 2016 Pernambucano A2 Championship .
Santa Cruz were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Salgueiro in the semi-finals.
Sport defeated Salgueiro 2–1 on aggregate to win their 41st Campeonato Pernambucano title.

The 2019 Campeonato Carioca de Futebol was the 116th edition of the top division of football in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The competition is organized by FERJ. The top four teams in the final standings of the tournament not otherwise qualified will qualify to compete in the 2020 Copa do Brasil. Additionally, the top two teams not competing in any level of the national Campeonato Brasileiro qualify for the 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D.

The 87th season of the Campeonato Gaúcho kicked off on January 20, 2007 and ended on May 6, 2007. The competition began with 18 clubs divided into two groups. Even before the end of first stage, Glória, Gaúcho, Guarani de Venâncio Aires and São José de Cachoeira do Sul were already relegated. The two biggest clubs of Rio Grande do Sul would not meet at the final, as Internacional were eliminated in the first stage. Holders Grêmio won the title once more after beating Juventude. That was the 35th title in the history of the club.

The 2020 Campeonato Carioca de Futebol was the 117th edition of the top division of football in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The competition was organized by FERJ. It began on 22 December 2019 and ended on 15 July 2020. On 16 March 2020, FERJ suspended the Campeonato Carioca indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil. The tournament resumed behind closed doors on 18 June 2020.
