The 2016 SaskTel Tankard , the provincial men's curling championship for Saskatchewan, was held from February 3 to 7 at the Kindersley Curling Club in Kindersley. [1] The winning team (Steve Laycock) represented Saskatchewan at the 2016 Tim Hortons Brier in Ottawa.

The Scotties Tournament of Hearts is the annual Canadian women's curling championship, sanctioned by Curling Canada, formerly called the Canadian Curling Association. The winner goes on to represent Canada at the women's world curling championships. Since 1985, the winner also gets to return to the following year's tournament as "Team Canada". It is formally known as the "Canadian Women's Curling Championship".
Kindersley is a town surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Kindersley No. 290 in west-central Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located along Highway 7, a primary highway linking Calgary, Alberta and Saskatoon, at its junction with Highway 21. With a population of 4,567 in 2021, it is an established industrial base for the resource-rich west-central region of the province and a service centre to the oil and gas industry and agriculture production.
Stefanie Lawton is a Canadian curler from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Hazlet is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Pittville No. 169 and Census Division No. 8. The village is located northwest of the city of Swift Current near the Great Sand Hills.
Glenn William Howard is a Canadian curler who is one of the most decorated curlers of all time. He has won four world championships, four Briers and 17 Ontario provincial championships, including a record eight straight, from 2006 to 2013. Through 2017, he has played in 218 games at the Brier, more than any other curler in history. He has also won the 2001 TSN Skins Game.
Sherry Anderson is a Canadian curler from Delisle, Saskatchewan. She is a record three-time winner of the World Senior Curling Championships for Canada.
Amy Lee Nixon is a Canadian retired curler and lawyer from Calgary, Alberta. She was a member of the bronze medal-winning 2006 Winter Olympic women's curling team, skipped by Shannon Kleibrink. Nixon was also the chair of the board of governors of Curling Canada from 2021 to 2022.
Jonathan Mead is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mead played third for Wayne Middaugh's rink until the end of the 2009–10 curling season. Beginning in the 2010–11 curling season, he again played third for Jeff Stoughton's Manitoba team.
Stephen "Steve" Laycock is a Canadian curler from Saskatoon. He currently skips his own team out of Swift Current.
Michelle Englot ; is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She currently skips her own team out of Regina. She is a nine-time provincial champion skip.
Patrick (Pat) "Simms" Simmons is a Canadian curler. Simmons played on the 2014 and 2015 Canadian champion rink, the latter year as skip. As a skip, he has also represented Saskatchewan in four straight Briers from 2005 to 2008 and again in 2011. He has also represented Alberta twice at the Brier.
Christopher Schille is a Canadian curler from Red Deer, Alberta.
The Caledonian Curling Club, also known as the Callie, is a curling club located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Established in 1915, the club is among the oldest in the province and has been the home of many championship teams, including the Sandra Schmirler rink, which won three provincial, national, and world championships in the 1990s and the gold medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics.
The 2010 Saskatchewan Scotties Tournament of Hearts is the 2010 edition of the Saskatchewan provincial women's curling championship. It was held January 6–10. Play began at the Kindersley Curling Club in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. However, due to a fire at the Kindersley Complex on January 8, the Scotties tournament play had been suspended January 8 until January 9. The remainder of the games were held at the Eston Curling Club in Eston, Saskatchewan. The winning team represented Saskatchewan at the 2010 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

The 1993 Scott Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's national curling championship, was held from February 27 to March 6, 1993 at the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba. The total attendance for the week was a then-record 88,022, which broke the previous mark set in 1991 by over 15,000.
Jolene Campbell is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She currently skips her own team out of Winnipeg.
The Boundary Ford Curling Classic is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, that takes place every November at the Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. The tournament, started in 2007 as part of the women's World Curling Tour, is held in a triple knockout format.
Stephanie Marguerite Schmidt is a Canadian curler, artist, and designer from Regina, Saskatchewan. She currently throws fourth stones for Team Michelle Englot.
Kirk Lyle Muyres is a Canadian curler. He is a former Canadian junior champion.
