The 2017 AMF Futsal Women's World Cup, also known as the Mundial AMF Futsal Femenino 2017, was the third edition of the AMF Futsal Women's World Cup. The tournament was held in Balaguer, Catalonia from 19 to 25 November 2017. [1] [2] Twelve national teams from all confederations participated in the tournament including: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Catalonia, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, France, Italy, Paraguay, South Africa, Switzerland and the United States. [3]
In addition to host nation Catalonia, 12 nations participated.

Futsal is a football-based sport played on a hardcourt like a basketball court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and indoor football.

The CONMEBOL Copa América de Futsal is the main national futsal competition of the CONMEBOL nations organized by the FIFA. It was first held in 1964 and was organized by Asociación Mundial de Futsal (AMF) as "Sudamericano". The tournament was also a qualifier for the AMF Futsal World Cup. The AMF organised the championship until 1989.
Futsal in Catalonia, Spain is managed by the Catalonia Federation of Futsal (FCFS), affiliated to European Union of Futsal in 2004 and recognised by the AMF in 2006.
The European Futsal Association or European Union of Futsal (UEFS) was the international sporting association for futsal in Europe. Its name has been directly translated into many languages, and in English has been known as both the European Futsal Association and the European Union of Futsal. The 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup was the 4th edition of the tournament. It was held in Chile between 19 November and 7 December 2008. Sixteen teams, comprising representatives from all six confederations, took part in the final competition, in which Chile had a guaranteed place as the host nation.

The tournament was held in Colombia from 15 to 26 March in the cities of Bucaramanga, Bogotá, Villavicencio and Bello. Sixteen national teams from four confederations participated in the tournament. Colombia won the tournament by defeating Paraguay 8–2 in the final, achieving its second title.
The Women's Futsal World Tournament is an international women's futsal competition for national teams, organized by national associations and the World Futsal Association. The first edition took place in 2010 in Spain and was won by Brazil. The tournament has known no other winner besides Brazil, after the country's victories in the first six editions.
The Italian Football Sala Federation (acronym of FIFS} is the Italian sports federation that promotes nationally the Football Sala, indoor soccer or futsal, played with the Rules of the Asociación Mundial de Futsal. It organizes national, international and friendly tournaments for national and club teams / representatives, amateur events and competitions for the disabled. He also organized the Topolino Trophy five times, in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Italia, as well as the Mediterranean Cup and the Mundialito Cup. It is based in Milan and the current President is Axel Paderni, in office since July 2009. It is the only Italian sports federation recognized by the Asociación Mundial de Futsal and, therefore, the only one authorized to use international trademarks and logos.

The 2015 AMF Futsal Men's World Cup was the 11th edition of the AMF Futsal World Cup. The tournament was held in Belarus from 17 to 25 April in the cities of Brest, Minsk, Pinsk, Maladzyechna and Barysaw. Sixteen national teams from all confederations participated in the tournament. Colombia won the tournament by defeating Paraguay 4–0 in the final, achieving its second consecutive title and third overall.
The Italian National Football Indoor AMF is national Italian team of five-a-side football in the South American version, with the rules of the AMF. It is headed by the Federazione Italiana Football Sala and represents Italy in official or friendly competitions that are reserved for national selections.
