Alan Gogayev is a Russian male freestyle wrestler. He was the runner up at the 2010 World Wrestling Championships in Moscow, Russia, won bronze at the 2017 World Championships in Paris and was European Champion in 2012 in Belgrade, Serbia. He competed in the 66 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he was defeated in the first round by Zalimkhan Yusupov from Tajikistan.
Aisuluu Tynybekova is a Kyrgyzstani freestyle wrestler. She competed in the freestyle 63 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, the first woman to wrestle for Kyrgyzstan in the Olympics. A legal dispute threatened to prevent Tynybekova from competing in London, but the case was delayed until after the Games. Tynybekova was eliminated in the 1/8 finals by Henna Johansson. In 2020, she won the gold medal in the 62 kg event at the 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup held in Belgrade, Serbia.
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well. Since 1970 the two Olympic wrestling styles were contested together during the same unified events. Since 1973 Sambo wrestling was included into the championships programme along with GR and freestyle wrestling. Since 2014 associated traditional wrestling styles recognized globally by UWW were incorporated into the annual championships schedule.
Magomed Magomedvich Kurbanaliev is a Russian freestyle wrestler of Avar Dagestani descent. He is 2016 World Freestyle Wrestling Champion in 70 kg. He competes in the 66 kg division and won the gold medal in the same division at the 2013 Summer Universiade defeating David Safaryan of Armenia. Also he won bronze at the 2013 World Wrestling Championships in Budapest. At the Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin 2016 he resigned after in the final due to his knee injury. He went on winning the World Military Championships in 2016. Recently he won the Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin 2018.
Geno Petriashvili is a Georgian heavyweight freestyle wrestler. Petriashvili won his first senior world title at the Paris 2017 World Championships after defeating rival Taha Akgul by the score of 10-8 in a back-and-forth match. He then took his second world title at Budapest 2018 World Championships. Petriashvili has also won two bronze medals in 2013 and 2015, and captured the European title at the 2016 Riga European Championships as well as two bronze medals at the European championships in both 2013 and 2017. He won a bronze medal the Rio Olympics in 2016 and a gold medal the Under 23 years world championships in Poland 2017. He served a six-months suspension in 2014 after testing positive for the non-performance enhancing Preductal, which Petriashvili had been taking regularly since being kidnapped as a child.
Aminat Adeniyi is a Nigerian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the women's freestyle 58 kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a gold medal.
Odunayo Adekuoroye is a Nigerian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the women's freestyle 53 kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a gold medal and at the 2015 World Wrestling Championships where she won a bronze medal. She won the silver medal at the women's freestyle 55 kilograms 2017 World Wrestling Championships.
Magomedmurad Gadżijew or Magomedmurad Saidpashievich Gadzhiev is a Russian Naturalized Polish freestyle wrestler of Dargin heritage. International Master of Sports in Freestyle Wrestling. He is bronze medalist of 2010 Russian Freestyle Wrestling Nationals. At 2015 World Wrestling Championships in the second round he lost to World Champion Frank Chamizo (3-4) European Games 2015 ruuner-up, who competed in the men's freestyle 70 kg category at the 2015 European Games and won the silver medal. Golden Grand prix Ivan Yarygin 2010 champion, bronze medalist in 2009 and 2011, European Championships 2010 runner-up, Ramzan Kadyrov Cup 3rd 2010 and World Cup 2011 winner. Gadzhiev is Olympian 2016
Chakir Ansari is a Moroccan freestyle wrestler. He is the first Moroccan freestyle wrestler qualified in Olympic Games. He competed in the men's freestyle 57 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in which he was eliminated in the round of 32 by Asadulla Lachinau. He win African title in Marrakech 2017. In 2021, he competed at the 2021 African & Oceania Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament hoping to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Nachyn Sergeyevich Kuular is a breakdancer and freestyle wrestler from Russia of Tuvan heritage. World champion U23 and Senior European bronze medalist 2019.
Anzor Ruslanovich Khizriev is a Russian freestyle wrestler of Chechen descent, who competes in the 125 kg weight category. Senior European Gmaes gold medalist 2019, he came in 5th at the 2018 World Championships.
