2017 Asian Baseball Cup

The 2017 Asian Baseball Cup was an international baseball tournament contested by the men's national teams of WBSC Asia's member associations. It was the 13th edition of the biannual Asian Baseball Cup, and served as qualification to the 2017 Asian Baseball Championship. [1] It was divided into two separate divisions, East and West, alternatively called the 2017 East Asian Baseball Cup and 2017 West Asian Baseball Cup.

Contents

The 2017 West Asia Baseball Cup was held from 25 February 2017 to 1 March 2017 at Jinnah Sports Stadium in Islamabad, Pakistan. [2] [3] It saw Nepal participating in their first competition, and Sri Lanka moving to the West Cup. The latter were crowned as the champions for the first time after they beat hosts Pakistan in the final. [4]

On the other hand, the 2017 East Asia Baseball Cup was cancelled due to lack of a suitable host.

The 2019 WBSC Premier12 was an international baseball championship featuring the 12 highest-ranked national teams in the world, held by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). It was the second WBSC Premier12 event. The championship was held from November 2 to 17, 2019, in Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan.

The 2017 Women's Baseball Asian Cup is the inaugural competition of the Women's Baseball Asian Cup. It was held at the Sai Tso Wan Baseball Field in Hong Kong from 2 to 7 September 2017. The tournament followed a single round robin format. The top four teams qualifies for the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup in the United States.

The 2022 WBSC Men's Softball World Championship was the 17th Men's Softball World Championship, an international softball tournament taking place in Auckland, New Zealand from 26 November to 4 December 2022. Originally scheduled for February 2021, the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New Zealand last hosted the tournament in 2013. It will be the 17th edition of the tournament.

The 2023 West Asian Baseball Cup is the 15th edition of the tournament, held from 26 January to February 1, at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The 30th Asian Baseball Championship is an ongoing international professional baseball competition for Asian men's national teams. It is being held in Taiwan. It began on 3 December 2023 and is running until 10 December 2023.
