The 2017 European Skateboarding Championships was held in Malmö, Sweden between May 25-26, 2017 for the park event.
Malmö is the largest city of the Swedish county of Skåne County, the third-largest city in Sweden, after Stockholm and Gothenburg, and the sixth-largest city in Scandinavia, with a population of 312,012 inhabitants in 2017 out of a municipal total of 338,230. The Malmö Metropolitan Region is home to over 700,000 people, and the Øresund Region, which includes Malmö, is home to 4 million people.

Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Since their formation, constant members, throughout all of the band's existence have been rapper and multi-instrumentalist Mike Shinoda, lead guitarist Brad Delson, bassist Dave Farrell, turntablist and keyboardist Joe Hahn and drummer Rob Bourdon. Their longtime lead vocalist Chester Bennington died from suicide by hanging on 20 July, 2017. The other members have yet to make their decision whether to continue with a different vocalist.
