The 2017 European Wrestling Championships was held in Novi Sad, Serbia, from 2 to 7 May 2017. [1] [2] [3] [4] The winner of the silver medal in the 97 kg category, Anzor Boltukayev from Russia, was disqualified and deprived of the medal due to doping. [5]

Wrestling competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, were held at the China Agricultural University Gymnasium from 12–21 August 2008. It was split into two disciplines, Freestyle and Greco-Roman which are further divided into different weight categories. Men competed in both disciplines whereas women only took part in the freestyle events with 18 gold medals being awarded. This was the second Olympics with women's wrestling as an event.

In 2021, she became under-23 world champion in the 55 kg event at the U23 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. She also represented Romania at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Alla Belinska is a Ukrainian freestyle wrestler. She is a three-time medalist, including gold, at the European Wrestling Championships. She represented Ukraine at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
