The wrestling events at the 2015 European Games were held at the Heydar Aliyev Arena, Baku from 13 to 20 June 2015. 24 events were held, 16 in freestyle across both sexes, and 8 in the Greco-Roman style, for men only. [1]

The 2015 European Games, also known as Baku 2015 or Baku 2015 European Games, were the inaugural edition of the European Games, an international multi-sport event for athletes representing the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the European Olympic Committees. It took place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 12 to 28 June 2015, and featured almost 6,000 athletes from 50 countries competing in 30 sports, including 15 summer Olympic and 2 non-Olympic sports.

Russian Federation participated at the I European Games, which took place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 12 to 28 June 2015. Russia sent athletes for every sport except athletics, as the level of Russian athletes was too high, according to Russia's Minister of Sports Vitaly Mutko. Russia still had the largest team at the Games, with the athletics programme consisting of only one event. Russia finished in the first place on the medal rankings, winning 79 gold medals.

Evgeny Sergeyevich Saleev is a Russian Greco-Roman wrestler. He was the bronze medalist Golden Grand Prix Ivan Poddubny in the Greco-Roman men's 74 kg event. He competed at the World Wrestling Championships 2014 where he was a silver medalist. In the European Games 2015 in the final match he defeated Rafig Huseynov of Azerbaijan.

The 2015 European Games was a multi-sport event held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 12 to 28 June 2015. The event was held for the first time and saw 5,898 athletes from 50 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) competing in 253 events in 20 sports. Since the Faroe Islands and Gibraltar are not members of the European Olympic Committee, the Faroese participants occurred for the Ligue Européenne de Natation and the Gibraltar participants for the Athletic Association of Small States of Europe. This medal table ranks the participating NOCs by the number of gold medals won by their athletes.

The men's 1500 metre freestyle event at the 2015 European Games took place on 24 June at the Aquatic Palace in Baku.

Georgia Coates is a British swimmer who won five medals at the 2015 European Games. She has been selected to compete for Great Britain at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
