Karate competitions at the 2015 European Games in Baku were held from 13 to 14 June 2015 at the Crystal Hall complex in Baku. The competition consisted of twelve events, six in each gender - two Kata or technique events, and ten weighted kumite or combat events. [1]
Each National Olympic Committee will be allowed a maximum of 1 competitor per event. Each event will consist of eight competitors
Qualification will be based on the 2015 European Karate Championships between 19 and 22 March 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey; the first six finishers in each event qualify for the European Games. Hosts Azerbaijan will be awarded an entry in each event. In addition, 12 'Universality' places will be allocated, one in each event, to ensure a spread of nations can compete. [2]

The 2015 European Games, also known as Baku 2015 or Baku 2015 European Games, were the inaugural edition of the European Games, an international multi-sport event for athletes representing the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the European Olympic Committees. It took place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 12 to 28 June 2015, and featured almost 6,000 athletes from 50 countries competing in 30 sports, including 15 summer Olympic and 2 non-Olympic sports.
The volleyball tournaments at the 2015 European Games in Baku were played between 13 and 28 June. 12 teams participated in the two indoor tournaments, while 32 pairs took part in each of the beach volleyball events.
At the 2015 European Games in Baku, five events of archery were contested, all in the target archery format, with recurve bows. The events took place at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium over seven days of competition. The European Games format followed that of the Olympic Games with 64 men and 64 women competing in the recurve division, in individual and team events as well as in mixed team.

The Diving events at the 2015 European Games took place at the Baku Aquatics Centre, Baku from 18 to 21 June 2015. In addition, two non-Olympic events, men's and women's 1m springboard, were held. The Olympic events of men's and women's 10 metre synchronised diving were not held.
Boxing competitions at the 2015 European Games were held from 16 to 27 June 2015 at the Crystal Hall 3 venue in the main Games cluster in Baku. The competition consisted of ten weight events for men, and five for women, and was contested, as at the Olympic Games, under rules and formats set out by the AIBA.
The fencing competitions at the 2015 European Games in Baku were held from 23 to 27 June 2015 at the Crystal Hall 3. Twelve events were contested. This is two more than the Olympic Games programme, and means all three formats had a team event in each gender.
Taekwondo competitions at the 2015 European Games in Baku were held between 16 and 19 June 2015 at the Crystal Hall complex in Baku. The competition consisted of four weight events in each gender; a total of 8 medal events.

The 33rd European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held from 17 to 20 December 2020 in Mersin, Turkey. The competition was originally scheduled to be held from 30 April to 3 May 2020 in Paris, France, but it was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Baku, Azerbaijan was announced as the replacement host for 17 to 20 December, before the event was relocated to Mersin. Originally an Olympic qualifying event, the competition was undesignated as such in light of the ongoing pandemic, so as to avoid pressuring member federations to attend if they were not willing to do so.
The 34th European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held from 9 to 13 December 2020 at the Mersin Gymnastics Hall in Mersin, Turkey. The competition was originally scheduled to be held from 27 to 31 May 2020 in Baku, Azerbaijan, but it was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Baku event was rescheduled for 9 to 13 December, before the event was relocated to Mersin. Originally an Olympic qualifying event, the competition was undesignated as such in light of the ongoing pandemic, so as to avoid pressuring member federations to attend if they were not willing to do so.
