The 2017 Four National Figure Skating Championships included the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. The event was held in December 2016 at the Spodek in Katowice, Poland. [1] [2] Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, and ice dancing.
The results were split by country; the three highest-placing skaters from each country formed their national podiums. The results were among the criteria used to determine international assignments. It was the ninth consecutive season that the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland held their national championships together and the fourth season that Hungary participated.

The Hungarian Figure Skating Championships are a national figure skating competition held annually to determine the national champions of Hungary. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.
Michal Březina is a retired Czech figure skater. He is the 2013 European bronze medalist, 2011 Skate America champion, 2009 World Junior silver medalist and four-time Czech national champion. He also won the 2014-15 ISU Challenger Series. Michal represented the Czech Republic at the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympics.

It served as the national championships for the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia; traditionally, Hungary has also participated. Hungary not participated in this year, but organized an own National Championship at Budapest from 18 to 18 December. The three highest-placing skaters from each country formed their national podiums, after the competition results were split. Medals were awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance on the senior and junior levels. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several skaters training abroad competed virtually via video submissions. The results were among the criteria used by each national federation to determine international assignments.
