He served as the head football coach at Adams State College—now known as Adams State University in 1968 and at Millersville University of Pennsylvania from 1970 to 2001, compiling a career college football coaching record of 220–90–6. The team has appeared in four Vanier Cup games, winning one in 2011.

Michael Kashak is a Canadian football defensive lineman. He played college football for the McMaster Marauders in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS). He played five seasons for the Marauders which culminated in being named to the OUA first-team all-star team in 2015 and 2016. During these five seasons, the Marauders won the Yates Cup in 2012 and 2014. Following the end of the 2015 CIS season, he was invited to the Canadian Football League’s national combine. He was drafted in the sixth round, 51st overall by the Calgary Stampeders in the 2016 CFL draft. Prior to playing football in the CIS, he played for Holy Trinity where he was part of the Metro Bowl championship team in 2010.

The 2017 Shippensburg Raiders football team was an American football team that represented Shippensburg University in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) during the 2017 NCAA Division II football season. Led by seventh-year head coach Mark Maciejewski, the Raiders compiled a 10–1 record and tied for the East Division championship. Both of the team's losses were to West Chester, first in the regular season and later in the Division II playoffs. The team played its home games at Seth Grove Stadium in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

Greg Knox is a former Canadian football coach who most recently served as the defensive backs coach for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played professionally as a defensive back with the Calgary Stampeders for seven years where he won two Grey Cup championships. He is also a two-time Vanier Cup champion after winning as a player with the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks in 1991 and then as a defensive coordinator with the McMaster Marauders in 2011. He was formerly the head coach of the Marauders from 2016 to 2018.
