The women's tournament of the 2015 M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships will be held from January 24 to February 1 at the Corner Brook Civic Centre and the Corner Brook Curling Club.

The 2017 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials were held from December 2 to 10 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, Ottawa, Ontario. The winners of the men's and women's events would represent Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The 2017 United States Olympic Curling Trials were held from November 11–18, 2017 at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. Five teams qualified for the men's tournament and three teams qualified for the women's tournament. The winner of each tournament represented the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang County, South Korea.

The 2018 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship was held from November 12 to 18, 2017 at the Swan River Curling Club in Swan River, Manitoba. The championship was won by the team from Ontario, who went on to represent Canada at the 2018 World Mixed Curling Championship.

The 2018 United States Women's Curling Championship was held from March 3 to 10 in Fargo, North Dakota. It was held in conjunction with the 2018 United States Men's Curling Championship. The winning team earned the right to represent the United States at the 2018 Ford World Women's Curling Championship provided that they are also in the top 75 WCT Order of Merit or have at least 40 points WCT Order of Merit year-to-date ranking as of January 31, 2018.

The 2017 World Wheelchair Curling Championship was held from March 4 to 11 at the Gangneung Curling Centre in Gangneung, South Korea. Norway won a third title after winning over Russia, who defeated Norway during the 2016 championship final.

The 2018 United States Men's Curling Championship was held from March 3 to 10 at the Scheels Arena in Fargo, North Dakota. It was held in conjunction with the 2018 United States Women's Curling Championship.

The 2017 United States Men's Curling Championship was held from February 11 to 18 at the Xfinity Arena in Everett, Washington. It was held in conjunction with the 2017 United States Women's Curling Championship.

The 2019 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship was held from November 4 to 10, 2018 at the Fort Rouge Curling Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Team Manitoba, as champions, represented Canada at the 2019 World Mixed Curling Championship where they won the gold medal.

The 2018 BOOST National was held from December 11 to 16 at the Conception Bay South Arena in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador. This will be the fourth Grand Slam and second major of the 2018–19 curling season.

The 2018 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from January 17-21 at the Eau Claire Curling Club in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Sarah Anderson and Korey Dropkin won the tournament, earning the right to represent the United States at the 2018 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Östersund, Sweden.

The 2008 United States Men's Curling Championship was held from February 16 to 23 at the Hibbing Curling Club in Hibbing, Minnesota. It was held in conjunction with the 2008 United States Women's Curling Championship. Craig Brown skipped his team to victory, his second national title. Craig Disher was runner-up for the third year in a row. As national champions, Team Brown earned the opportunity to represent the United States at the 2008 World Men's Curling Championship in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where they finished in 7th place.

The 2008 United States Women's Curling Championship was held from February 16 to 23 at the Hibbing Curling Club in Hibbing, Minnesota. It was held in conjunction with the 2008 United States Men's Curling Championship. Team McCormick, led by Debbie McCormick, won the tournament for the third year in a row, a record for the US Nationals. With the win Team McCormick earned the opportunity to represent the United States at the 2009 World Women's Championship held in Gangneung, South Korea, where they finished 9th.

The 1965 Diamond "D" Championship the Canadian women's curling championship was held from February 22 to 25, 1965 at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
