The 2018 Asian Women's Club League Handball Championship was an international handball tournament held between 3 and 9 October 2018 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. [1] It was organized by the Asian Handball Federation.

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) is the governing body of handball and beach handball in Asia. It has 44 member countries, mostly located on the Asian continent, but excludes the transcontinental countries with territory in both Europe and Asia – Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russian Federation and Turkey – which are instead members of European Handball Federation (EHF). Three other states located along the western fringe of Asia – Cyprus, Armenia and Israel – are also EHF members. It was the official competition for men's handball clubs of Asia crowning the Asian champions. Al-Najma Club (Bahrain) wins the championship by beating Al-Duhail Club (Qatar) by 21 – 16 in a low scoring match. The winner qualifies for the 2018 IHF Super Globe.

The 2018 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship was the 8th edition of the championship held from 16 to 26 September 2018 at Amman (Jordan) under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation. It was the third time in history that championship was organised in Jordan by the Jordan Handball Federation. The top four teams qualified for the 2019 Men's Youth World Handball Championship to be held in Republic of Macedonia.

It also acted as the qualification tournament for the 2021 IHF Men's Super Globe, with top team from the championship directly qualifying for the event to be held also in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

It was the fifth time in history that the championship was organised by the Kazakhstan Handball Federation. It also acted as the qualification tournament for the 2022 Women's Junior World Handball Championship, with top tree teams from the championship directly qualifying for the event to be held in Slovenia.

The 2022 Asian Women's Handball Championship was the 19th edition of the Asian Women's Handball Championship, which took place from 24 November to 4 December 2022 in South Korea. The tournament was held under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation and acted as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2023 World Women's Handball Championship, with the top five teams qualifying. If countries from Oceania participating in the Asian Championships finished in the top 5, they would have qualified for the World Championships. However, as Australia finished in tenth place, the place was transferred to the wild card spot.
