The 2018 Bogor regency election was held on June 27, 2018, as part of the simultaneous local elections. It was held to elect the regent and deputy regent of Bogor Regency. Elections for members of the municipal council (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah) will be held in 2019.
Incumbent regent, Nurhayanti, while eligible, has decided not to run for re-election. In total, five candidates were on the election ballot: three party candidate pairs and two independent candidate pairs. Municipal councilor and sister of a former regent, Ade Yasin, defeated fellow councilor, Ade Ruhandi, and the other 4 candidates.

The results were announced on July 6, 2018. [4] The winner, Ade Yasin, is a former municipal councilor for the regency and is the chairman for West Java's branch of the United Development Party. [5]
Following the announcement, the Ade Ruhandi/Inggrid Kansil pair filed a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court of Indonesia. [6] Although the lawsuit was eventually turned down, it resulted in a delay for the swearing in of the regent-elect, which was moved to March 2019. [7] [8]
The 2018 Central Java gubernatorial election was held on 27 June 2018 to elect both the governor and vice governor of Central Java. The election, which took place alongside local elections across Indonesia, saw the re-election of the incumbent, Ganjar Pranowo, over former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said.
The 2018 South Sulawesi Gubernatorial Election took place on 27 June 2018 as part of the simultaneous local elections. It was held to elect the governor of South Sulawesi along with their deputy, whilst members of the provincial council will be re-elected in 2019.
The 2018 Makassar mayoral election took place on 27 June 2018 as part of the simultaneous local elections. It was held to elect the mayor of Makassar and the deputy mayor.
The 2018 Papua gubernatorial election took place in Papua, Indonesia on 27 June 2018 as part of the simultaneous local elections. It was held to elect the governor of Papua along with their deputy, whilst members of the provincial council will be re-elected in 2019.
The 2018 South Sumatra gubernatorial election took place on 27 June 2018 as part of the simultaneous local elections. It was held to elect the governor of South Sumatra along with their deputy, whilst members of the provincial council will be re-elected in 2019.

The 2018 East Nusa Tenggara gubernatorial election took place on 27 June 2018 as part of the simultaneous local elections. It was held to elect the governor of East Nusa Tenggara along with their deputy, whilst members of the provincial council will be re-elected in 2019.
Nurhayanti is an Indonesian politician who was the regent of Bogor between 2015 and 2018. The first women to lead the regency, she was previously vice regent to Rahmat Yasin before Yasin was arrested in 2014.
Rachmat Yasin or Rahmat Yasin is an Indonesian politician from the United Development Party who served as the regent of Bogor Regency between 2008 and 2014. He was convicted of receiving bribes in 2014, and is currently in prison.
Ahmad Syaikhu is an Indonesian politician who is currently President of the Prosperous Justice Party. He served as the vice mayor of Bekasi between 2013 and 2018 as the deputy of Rahmat Effendi.
Neneng Hassanah Yasin is an Indonesian politician who was the regent of Bekasi Regency, holding that position between 2012 and 2018.
Rudy Gunawan is an Indonesian politician and lawyer who served as the regent of Garut Regency, West Java from 2014 to 2024.
Syamsuar is an Indonesian politician who served as the Governor of Riau from 2019 until 2023. He previously served as Regent of Siak Regency between 2011 and 2019.
Ade Yasin is an Indonesian lawyer and former politician of the United Development Party who was the regent of Bogor Regency between 2018 and 2022, after previously serving as a municipal legislator between 2009 and 2018. She was arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission for bribing state auditors in 2022 and was sentenced to four years in prison.
Iwan Setiawan is an Indonesian politician of the Gerindra Party who was the regent of Bogor Regency between 2022 and 2023, mostly as acting mayor replacing Ade Yasin who had been arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission. Prior to becoming mayor, Setiawan had been Yasin's vice mayor between 2018 and 2022, and was a member of the regency's Regional House of Representatives for two terms since 2009.
The 2024 Bogor regency election will be held on 27 November 2024 as part of nationwide local elections to elect the Regent of Bogor Regency for a five-year term.
The 2024 Bekasi regency election will be held on 27 November 2024 as part of nationwide local elections to elect the regent of Bekasi Regency for a five-year term.
