The 2018 Southern Conference softball tournament was held at UNCG Softball Stadium on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Greensboro, North Carolina, from May 9 through May 12, 2018. UNC Greensboro won their first-ever tournament championship and earned the SoCon's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. [1] [2]

The Furman Paladins are the varsity athletic teams representing Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, in intercollegiate athletics.
The Southern Conference Baseball Tournament is the conference championship tournament in baseball for the Southern Conference. The winner of the tournament receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The event is scheduled for the Tuesday through Saturday before Memorial Day each year, five days prior to the NCAA Regionals.
The 2010 Southern Conference Men's Basketball Tournament took place March 5–8 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The first and quarterfinal rounds took place at Bojangles' Coliseum. The semifinals and championship game were played at Time Warner Cable Arena. The semifinals were broadcast on SportsSouth and the championship game was broadcast on ESPN2. The winner of the tournament, the Wofford Terriers, received an automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. It was Wofford's first appearance.
The 2013 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 22 through May 26 at Fluor Field at the West End in Greenville, South Carolina. The annual event determines the conference champion of the Division I Southern Conference in college baseball. Third seeded Elon won their second tournament champion to earn the league's bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This was the last of 18 athletic championships held by the conference in the 2012–13 academic year.

The 1982 AIAW Women's College slow-pitch softball championship was held in Graham, North Carolina, near Raleigh, on May 13–15. Twelve college softball teams met in the second and last AIAW national slow-pitch softball tournament. The AIAW conducted only two slow-pitch softball national championships, in 1981 and 1982, as the NCAA sought to and eventually did vanquish the women's collegiate athletic organization. The Amateur Softball Association later held two collegiate slow-pitch championship tournaments in 1983 and 1984.

The first round and quarterfinals of the tournament were held at campus sites, while the semifinals and final took place at Betts Stadium in Macon, Georgia. The ten-team single-elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The UNC Greensboro Spartans were the defending champions and successfully defended their crown with a 2–1 win over the Furman Paladins in the final. This was the eighth Southern Conference tournament title for the UNC Greensboro women's soccer program and the second for head coach Michael Coll.

The first round and quarterfinals of the tournament were held at campus sites, while the semifinals and final took place at UNCG Soccer Stadium in Greensboro, North Carolina. The ten-team single-elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The UNC Greensboro Spartans were the defending champions but were unable to defend their crown, losing 1–0 t the Furman Paladins in the semifinal. The Samford Bulldogs were the eventual champions, defeating Furman 1–0 in the final. This was the third Southern Conference tournament title for the Samford women's soccer program, all three of which have come under coach Todd Yelton.
The 2020–21 UNC Greensboro Spartans men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Greensboro during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Spartans, led by tenth-year head coach Wes Miller, play most of their home games at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, with a handful of games at Fleming Gymnasium, on the UNCG campus. They are members of the Southern Conference. They finished the season 21-8, 13-5 to finish in 1st place. They defeated The Citadel, East Tennessee State, and Mercer to win the SoCon Championship. They received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where they lost in the Round of 64 to Florida State.
The 2021-22 Southern Conference men's basketball season started non-conference play on November 9th, 2021 and began conference play on December 29th, 2021. The regular season ended on February 27th, 2022 setting up the 2022 Southern Conference men's basketball tournament from March 4th to March 7th.

The tournament was held at campus sites, with the higher seed hosting. The ten-team single-elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Furman Paladins were the defending champions but were unable to defend their crown, losing 4–2 in the final to the Samford Bulldogs. This was the fourth Southern Conference tournament title for the Samford women's soccer program, all four of which have come under coach Todd Yelton. As tournament champions, Samford earned the Southern Conference's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The UNC Greensboro Spartans were the defending champions but were unable to defend their crown, losing 2–1 in the Semifinals to the Belmont Bruins. The Mercer Bears were the tournament champions, defeating Belmont 4–3 in the final. This was the fourth Southern Conference tournament title for the Mercer men's soccer program, all four of which have come under coach Brad Ruzzo. As tournament champions, Mercer earned the Southern Conference's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament.
