The 2019 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 26th edition of the tournament, and was held in Winnipeg, Canada from 2 to 7 September 2019. Top four teams which had not yet qualified to the 2020 Summer Olympics or the 2020 North American Olympic Qualification Tournament qualified for the 2020 North American Olympic Qualification Tournament. [1]
The hosts Canada and the top seven ranked teams from the NORCECA Ranking as of 1 January 2019 [2] qualified for the tournament. But, Suriname replaced Trinidad and Tobago, who withdrew from the tournament. And, Suriname withdrew just before the beginning of the tournament. Rankings are shown in brackets except the hosts who ranked 2nd.
Teams were seeded following the serpentine system according to their NORCECA Ranking as of 1 January 2019. [2] NORCECA reserved the right to seed the hosts as head of pool A regardless of the NORCECA Ranking.

The 2013 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 23rd edition of the tournament, played from 23 to 28 September 2013 at The Langley Events Centre in Langley, Canada. The event served as qualifier for the 2013 FIVB Men's World Grand Champions Cup.
The 2015 FIVB Men's World Cup was held from 8 to 23 September 2015 in Japan. The tournament served as a qualification process for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The top two teams, USA and Italy, qualified for the Olympics, and joined Brazil as they had already secured a berth as the host country.
The 2015 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Champions Cup was the first edition of the tournament, and was held in Detroit, United States from 21 to 23 May 2015. The top two teams qualified for the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup. Canada won the tournament for the first time in its history.
The 2015 Women's NORCECA Champions Cup (Final Four) was played from June 5 to June 7 in Havana, Cuba. The Dominican Republic won the tournament and together with Cuba, both qualified for the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup in Japan.
The 2019 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the twentieth staging of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF). The tournament was held in Tehran, Iran from 13 to 21 September 2019.
The NORCECA qualification for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship saw member nations compete for five places at the finals in Italy and Bulgaria. The top three teams from the 2017 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship, plus two teams from the final four qualified for the 2018 World Championship. Therefore, the first two rounds of the 2018 World Championship qualification also acted as qualifiers for the 2017 NORCECA Championship.
The 2016 Women's Junior NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the tenth edition of the bi-annual tournament. It was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from 26 July to 31 July, and featured eight teams. The Dominican Republic won the tournament and qualified to the 2017 FIVB Women's Junior World Championship. Dominican Natalia Martínez was awarded Most Valuable Player.
The 2017 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 25th edition of the tournament, and was held in Colorado Springs, United States from 26 September to 1 October 2017. The top three teams qualified for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, whereas the fourth and fifth ranked teams qualified for the 2018 World Championship NORCECA qualification final four.
The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship is the sixteenth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship, contested by the women's national teams under the age of 18 of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Egypt from 5 to 14 September 2019. Egypt were chosen as the hosts for this event for the first time.
The North American section of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Challenger Cup qualification acted as a qualifier for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Challenger Cup, for national teams which are members of the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA). The North American Qualification Tournament for the 2020 Men's Olympic Volleyball Tournament was a volleyball tournament for men's national teams held in Vancouver, Canada from 10 to 12 January 2020. Four teams played in the tournament and the winners Canada qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The 2020 Women's Volleyball North American Olympic Qualification Tournament will be a volleyball tournament for women's national teams to be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from 10 to 12 January 2020. 4 teams will play in the tournament, where the winner will qualify to the 2020 women's Olympic volleyball tournament.
