Anna Sergeyevna Danilina is a Russian-born Kazakh tennis player. She has been ranked as high as No. 10 in doubles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). In singles, she reached a career-high ranking of No. 269.

Miriam Kolodziejová and Markéta Vondroušová were the defending champions, however Kolodziejová was no longer eligible to play juniors and Vondroušová chose not to participate.

It was the thirteenth (ATP) and tenth (ITF) editions of the tournament and was part of the 2018 ATP Challenger Tour and the 2018 ITF Women's Circuit. It took place in Astana, Kazakhstan, on 16–22 July 2018.

Natela Dzalamidze and Veronika Kudermetova were the defending champions, but decided not to participate.

Ayla Aksu and Harriet Dart were the defending champions, but both players chose not to participate.

Naomi Broady and Asia Muhammad were the defending champions, but Muhammad chose to participate at the 2019 FineMark Women's Pro Tennis Championship instead.

Wang Qiang was the defending champion, but chose not to participate this year.

This was the first edition of the tournament.

Andrea Sestini Hlaváčková and Lucie Hradecká were the defending champions having won the previous edition in 2013, but Hradecká chose to compete at the 2021 Prague Open instead, whilst Sestini Hlaváčková retired from professional tennis in 2019.

Maria Kondratieva and Vladimíra Uhlířová were the champions from the previous edition in 2010, but both players retired from professional tennis in 2016.

Jocelyn Rae and Anna Smith were the defending champions, however Rae retired from professional tennis in 2017, whilst Smith has been inactive in professional tennis since 2019.
