The 2016 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the 12th FIM Team Under-21 World Championship season. The final took place on 20 August, 2016 at the ICA Maxi Arena in Norrköping, Sweden.Poland won their ninth Team Under-21 World Championship. The Poles accumulated 44 points, with Bartosz Zmarzlik and Paweł Przedpełski scoring 14 points each, to beat Australia by seven points.

The Speedway of Nations is a motorcycle speedway event for national teams, held each year in a different country. The first edition of the competition in the current format took place in 2018. It was the first time an official FIM international pairs competition was staged since the World Pairs Championship ceased in 1993. Great Britain are the current champions after winning in 2024. The Speedway of Nations was not held in 2023 due to the return of the Speedway World Cup, but returned to the speedway calendar in 2024 and 2025.

The 2018 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the 14th FIM Team Under-21 World Championship season. The final took place on 18 August, 2018 at the Outrup Stadium in Outrup, Denmark.

The 2017 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the 13th FIM Team Under-21 World Championship season. The final took place on 2 September, 2017 in Rybnik, Poland.

The 2020 Individual Speedway Under 21 World Championship was the 44th edition of the FIM Individual Under-21 World Championship. It was staged over one round only, at Pardubice in the Czech Republic, on 2 October. The competition was reduced from three rounds to just one because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the 16th FIM Team Under-21 World Championship season. The final took place on 5 September 2020, at the Varde Motor Arena in Outrup, Denmark. The event had originally been planned for 22 August but was delayed due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the 17th FIM Team Under-21 World Championship season. The final took place on 10 September 2021, at the Polonia Bydgoszcz Stadium in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
