The Great Britain national under-21 speedway team is the national under-21 motorcycle speedway team of Great Britain and is controlled by the Auto-Cycle Union. The team was started in all editions of Under-21 World Cup and was won one silver medal in 2007. Denmark has produced three Under-21 World Champions: Chris Louis (1990), Joe Screen (1993) and Lee Richardson (1999). Two riders, Marvyn Cox (1984) and Gary Havelock (1987) was won Individual U-21 European Championship open for riders from all continents.

Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock. Competitors use this surface to slide their machines sideways, powersliding or broadsiding into the bends. On the straight sections of the track, the motorcycles reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour (110 km/h).

Newcastle Diamonds were a motorcycle speedway team that raced in the SGB Championship, every Sunday night during the season (March–October) from their home at the Newcastle Stadium on the Fossway, Byker. The Stadium was previously known as Brough Park.
Leigh Scott Adams is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Australia. He is a multiple Speedway Grand Prix winner and World Team Champion. He also won a record 10 Australian Solo Championships, four Australian Under-21 Championships, the 1992 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship, and was the 1986 Australian Under-16 Champion.
