The 2020 4. deild karla season was the 8th since its establishment. A total of 29 teams, were split into four groups of 7 or 8 teams based on a regional basis. The top two from each group will progress to the second phase of the campaign.

The 2017 Úrvalsdeild karla, also known as Pepsi-deild karla for sponsorship reasons, was the 106th season of top-flight Icelandic football. Twelve teams contested the league, including the defending champions FH, who won their eighth league title in 2016.
The 2017 4. deild karla season was the 5th since its establishment. The first match of the season was played on 19 May and the season concluded on 16 September with the promotion play-off final. KH and Augnablik were promoted to 2018 3. deild karla
The 2017-18 Argentine Torneo Federal A, was the 5th season of the third tier of the Argentine football league system. The tournament is reserved for teams indirectly affiliated to the Asociación del Fútbol Argentino (AFA), while teams affiliated to AFA have to play the Primera B Metropolitana, which is the other third tier competition. The champion was promoted to Primera B Nacional. 39 teams are competing in the league, 31 returning from the 2016–17 season, 4 teams that were relegated from Primera B Nacional and 4 teams promoted from Federal B. The regular season began on September 17, 2017 and ended in May 2018.

The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a playoff to gain promotion. This had to be the third season when the counties were divided into 7 regions, each consisting of 6 counties and the draw was made on 15 February 2019, with 4 months before the first matches.

The 2020–21 season of the Hoofdklasse is played in four leagues, two for Saturday and two for Sunday. The champions of each league promote directly to the Derde Divisie; other teams can promote through play-offs. The 2020–21 Hoofdklasse starts on Saturday 29 August 2020.
A total of 36 teams contested the league divided into three groups, Lohko A, Lohko B and Lohko C. 25 returning from the 2019 season, two relegated from Ykkönen and nine promoted from Kolmonen. The top four of each group will qualify to promotion matches to decide which three teams get promoted to the Ykkönen. The bottom two teams in each group will get relegated to the Kolmonen. Each team will play a total of 22 matches, playing twice against each team of its group.
