Two-time defending champion Novak Djokovic defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final, 7–5, 6–2, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. It was his record-extending ninth Australian Open title and his 18th major title overall. With his fourth round win against Milos Raonic, Djokovic joined Roger Federer as only the second man with 300 or more match wins in major singles competitions.
Hubert Hurkacz defeated Jannik Sinner in the final, 7–6(7–4), 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Miami Open. Hurkacz claimed his first Masters 1000 singles championship and became the first Pole to win a Masters 1000 singles title.
Nick Kyrgios was the reigning champion from when the tournament was last held in 2019, but lost in the first round to Mackenzie McDonald.
Rafael Nadal defeated Maxime Cressy in the final, 7–6(8–6), 6–3 to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Melbourne Summer Set 1. It was his 89th career ATP title. Cressy entered the tournament as a qualifier and was contesting his first tour-level final.
Defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–3) to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters. He became the sixth player to win consecutive titles at the Monte-Carlo Masters in the Open Era. The win also earned him his second Masters 1000 title and his eighth career singles title overall.
Taylor Fritz defeated Maxime Cressy in the final, 6–2, 6–7(4–7), 7–6(7–4) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Eastbourne International.
