The 2020 Netherlands Quadrangular Series was a cricket tournament that was scheduled to take place in June 2020 in the Netherlands. [1] [2] The series would have been played between the Netherlands, Namibia, Oman and the United States, with all the matches played as One Day Internationals (ODIs). [3] [4] [5] However, on 22 April 2020, the Dutch government announced that it had banned all events in the country, both sports and cultural, until 1 September 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [6] [7]
The Namibia men's national cricket team, nicknamed the Eagles, is the men's team that represents the Republic of Namibia in international cricket. It is organised by Cricket Namibia, which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1992.

The 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 was the first edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, a cricket tournament which formed part of the 2023 Cricket World Cup qualification process. The tournament was played from August 2019 to March 2023, with all matches played as One Day Internationals (ODIs). Each set of fixtures was planned to take place as a tri-series.

The 2019–20 Oman Pentangular Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament, that was held in Oman in October 2019. Originally scheduled to be played between four teams, it was increased to five. The series was played between Hong Kong, Ireland, Nepal, the Netherlands and hosts Oman ahead of the 2019 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament in the United Arab Emirates. All the matches were played at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Muscat.

The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 forms part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. In April 2022, USA Cricket confirmed all the fixtures for the series, with all the matches taking place at the Moosa Stadium in Pearland.

It was a tri-nation series between Oman, Papua New Guinea and the Scotland cricket teams, with the matches played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures. The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup.

The Netherlands cricket team were scheduled to tour Namibia in March and April 2020, to play four Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and two One Day Internationals (ODIs) at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek. However, on 13 March 2020, the tour was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour is now scheduled to take place in 2020–21, subject to COVID-19 restrictions.

The New Zealand cricket team toured the Netherlands in August 2022 to play two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. It was the first time that the New Zealand team had toured the Netherlands since 1986. The tour was originally scheduled for to take place in June 2020 before it was postponed in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 19 July 2022, the date of the second T20I was brought forward by one day due to a cancellation of a connecting flight for the New Zealand team's tour of the West Indies. During the 2022 summer, New Zealand also toured England, Ireland and Scotland prior to this series.
