Joe Riggs was scheduled to face Héctor Lombard in the main event, however Riggs suffered an injury in training and withdrew from the fight. David Mundell served as Riggs replacement, taking the short notice fight against Lombard.
This event also featured the first two quarter-final bouts of the Tournament to crown the first BKFC Super welterweight Championship.

The event was initially scheduled to be held on April 11, 2020, at the Boutwell Memorial Auditorium in Birmingham, USA. However, the event was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [9] It was later rescheduled to take place on August 21, 2020, at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. However, it was then pushed back further to September 11, 2020, and moved to the Ocean Center convention center in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA. [10]
Thiago Alves was originally scheduled to face Phil Baroni in the main event. However, on September 3, it was announced Baroni would be replaced by The Ultimate Fighter competitor Julian Lane. [11]

The promotion was targeting a Heavyweight bout between MMA veterant Mark Godbeer and Sam Shewmaker to headline the event. However, it was announced on December 6 that Godbeer was pulled from the contest after he tested positive for COVID-19. Undefeated heavyweight Bobo O'Bannon stepped up on a few days' notice to fight Shewmaker in the main-event.

Joseph Jonathan Riggs is an American professional bare-knuckle boxer and former mixed martial artist who is currently signed to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. A professional competitor since 2001, Riggs formerly competed for the UFC, WEC, Strikeforce, Bellator, ProElite, M-1 Global, and King of the Cage. Riggs is the former WEC Middleweight Champion.
Thiago Alves is a Brazilian former bare-knuckle fighter and former mixed martial artist. A 27-fight veteran of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, he competed in the promotion from 2005 until 2019. Aside from being a professional fighter, Alves has been a striking coach at the American Top Team since 2017.
Héctor Lombard is a Cuban and Australian professional mixed martial artist, bodybuilder, and former Olympic judoka who competes in the Light Heavyweight division of Eagle FC. Lombard has also competed in the middleweight and welterweight divisions. Luis Vicente Palomino is a Peruvian-American mixed martial artist and bare-knuckle fighter who is the current Lightweight champion Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, he once held both Lightweight and Welterweight, making him the first “double champ” in the BKFC. He also competed in the Lightweight division for the World Series of Fighting and Absolute Championship Berkut. In addition, he previously fought in the featherweight division.
Dat Nguyen is a Vietnamese-born American boxer and bare-knuckle boxer. He recently competed in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and was the BKFC Bantamweight Champion.
Jim Alers is an American professional bare knuckle boxer. A professional MMA fighter from 2008 until 2018, he fought in the UFC and is the former Cage Warriors Featherweight Champion.
