  1. The original decision was 3:2 in favour of Strnisko. Upon appeal by the Mexican Boxing Federation, a bout review jury reviewed the third round and overturned said decision. [2]

Amateur boxing is a variant of boxing practiced at the collegiate level, at the Olympic Games, Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games, as well as many associations.

Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom is an Indian amateur boxer, politician, and former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. She is the only woman to win the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer to win eight World Championship medals. Nicknamed Magnificent Mary, she was the only Indian female boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she competed in the flyweight (51 kg) category and won a bronze medal. She had also been ranked as the world's No. 1 female light-flyweight by the International Boxing Association (amateur) (AIBA). She became the first Indian female boxer to win a gold medal in the Asian Games in 2014 at Incheon, South Korea and is the first Indian female boxer to win gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She is also the only boxer to become Asian Amateur Boxing Champion for a record six times. Mary Kom won the 51kg gold in President's Cup in Indonesia.

Vikas Krishan Yadav is an Indian boxer from Bhiwani district in Haryana, the hub of some of India's best boxers. He also played professional boxing.

The 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships were held in Belgrade, Serbia from 25 October to 6 November. Belgrade was picked to host the championships for the second time; the original 2021 contract with New Delhi was cancelled due to a disagreement between AIBA and the Boxing Federation of India over hosting fees. AIBA also demanded the BFI pay a cancellation penalty of US$500,000.

Nadine Apetz is a German amateur boxer. She won bronze medals at the World Championships in 2016 and 2018, and gold at the 2017 EU Championships. In 2021, she became the first German woman to qualify for a boxing event at the Summer Olympic Games.

Donjeta Sadiku is a Kosovan boxer. She competed for Kosovo at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the women's lightweight event and has previously competed for the country at the 2019 European Games. Her coach is Marjola Sallauka

Otar Eranosyan is a Georgian professional boxer. As an amateur, he won silver medals at the 2014 European Union Amateur Boxing Championships and 2015 European Amateur Boxing Championships, as well as a bronze medal at the 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships.

Cherneka Lee Johnson is a professional boxer who has held the IBF female junior-featherweight title since April 2022. Born in New Zealand, she represents Australia in international competition.
