The 2021 Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament was a men's volleyball tournament for the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association during the 2021 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. It was held April 16 through April 24, 2021 at campus sites. The winner received The Association's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Volleyball Tournament.

With the Ivy League choosing not to participate in spring athletics, neither Harvard nor defending conference champion Princeton participated in the season. As a result EIVA changed tournament formats. All six schools participated in the tournament. Seeds 1 and 2 received byes to the semifinals, which were played at Rec Hall in University Park, PA. The Championship also was played at Rec Hall. Seed 3 played Seed 6, and Seed 4 played Seed 5 in the conference tournament opening round at the 3 and 4 seeds’ schools. [1]

The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) is a college athletic conference whose member schools compete in men's volleyball. The conference footprint is centered in the Midwestern United States, stretching from Missouri in the west to Ohio in the east. Many of the conference's schools also participate in the similarly named Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association in men's volleyball at the club level.
The NCAA Men's Volleyball Tournament, officially titled the NCAA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Championship, is an annual competition that determines the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship in American college men's volleyball. It had been the only NCAA championship in the sport from 1970 until 2012, when the NCAA launched a Division III championship.

The Penn State Nittany Lions are the athletic teams of Pennsylvania State University, except for the women's basketball team, known as the Lady Lions. The school colors are navy blue and white. The school mascot is the Nittany Lion. The intercollegiate athletics logo was commissioned in 1983.

The Penn State Nittany Lions women's volleyball program has had a long tradition, founded in 1976 by Tom Tait, long-time coach of the Penn State men's team, who coached the women's team from 1976–79 and was named a USA Volleyball All-Time great coach in 2007.
Christa Deanne Harmotto Dietzen is an American indoor volleyball player, a member of the United States women's national volleyball team and Turkey club Fenerbahce Grundig, a participant of the Olympic Games, bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games, 2015 World Cup, silver medalist of the 2012 Olympic Games, and a gold medalist of the 2014 World Championship.
The Texas Longhorns women's volleyball team represents The University of Texas at Austin in NCAA Division I intercollegiate women's volleyball competition. The Longhorns currently compete in the Big 12 Conference.
The Penn State Nittany Lions men's volleyball program has had a long tradition at Penn State University. Founded by Dr. G. Tom Tait, Tait coached the team from 1976–1989, and was named a USA Volleyball All-Time great coach in 2007.
Pittsburgh Panthers women's volleyball is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate volleyball program of the University of Pittsburgh, often referred to as "Pitt", located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pitt volleyball team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and plays their home games in Fitzgerald Field House. Since the founding of the volleyball program in 1974, the Panthers have had a winning season all but four years, have one of the nation's top all-time winning percentages, have appearanced in 19 national championship tournaments, and have won 14 conference championships including eleven as a member of the Big East Conference and three since joining the ACC.
The Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Pennsylvania State University. The team is a member of the Big Ten Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Penn State's intercollegiate soccer program began in 1911 and has won or shared 11 national championships and 6 conference tournament championships. In 1959, the team joined the National Collegiate Athletic Association when it added men's soccer to its program and in 1987 joined the Atlantic 10 Conference as a charter member. At the conclusion of its 1990 season the Nittany Lions joined the Big Ten Conference where they play today.
The NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament is an annual event that leads to the championship in women's volleyball from teams in Division I contested by the NCAA each winter since 1981. Kentucky won the most recent tournament, defeating Texas 3–1 at CHI Health Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Ohio State Buckeyes men's volleyball is one of the 18 men's varsity teams at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The team is coached by Kevin Burch, who is in his 1st season as head coach. The Buckeyes are a charter member of the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA), which they have been competing in since their founding in 1968. The team has won 27 regular season MIVA titles, 17 tournament titles and three NCAA Men's Volleyball Tournament titles. They currently host their home matches at the Covelli Center on campus.
The 2016 NCAA Men's National Collegiate Volleyball Tournament was the 47th annual tournament to determine the national champion of NCAA Division I and Division II men's collegiate indoor volleyball. The single elimination tournament was played at Rec Hall in University Park, Pennsylvania from May 3–7, 2016.

The Crimson, led by tenth year head coach Brian Biase, play their home games at Malkin Athletic Center. The Crimson are members of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association and were picked to finish fifth in the EIVA the preseason poll.
The 2019 Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament was the men's volleyball tournament for the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association during the 2019 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. It was held April 18 through April 20, 2019 at Princeton University's Dillon Gymnasium. The winner received The Association's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
U Sports men's volleyball is the highest level of amateur play of men's indoor volleyball in Canada and operates under the auspices of U Sports. Thirty-one teams from Canadian universities are divided into three athletic conferences, drawing from the three of the four regional associations of U Sports: Canada West Universities Athletic Association (CW), Ontario University Athletics (OUA), and Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ). The Atlantic University Sport (AUS) formerly featured men's volleyball as a U Sports championship sport, but it was removed following the 2017–18 season. The 31 participating teams compete in a regular season and following intra-conference playoffs, eight teams are selected to play in a national tournament to compete for the U Sports men's volleyball championship.

The Nittany Lions played mostly a conference schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After winning the EIVA regular season and conference tournament titles the Nittany Lions qualified for the NCAA Tournament. After winning the opening round match the Nittany Lions fell in the semifinals to Lewis.
