The 2021 Marshall Thundering Herd baseball team represented Marshall University in the sport of baseball for the 2021 college baseball season. The Thundering Herd competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and in Conference USA East Division. They played their home games at Kennedy Center Field in Huntington, West Virginia. The team was coached by Jeff Waggoner, who was in his fifteenth season with the Thundering Herd.

The Marshall Thundering Herd is the intercollegiate athletic collection of teams that collectively represent the Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Thundering Herd athletic teams compete in Conference USA, which are members of the NCAA Division I; the school announced in October 2021 that it is joining the Sun Belt Conference. The school's official colors are kelly green and white. The Marshall Thundering Herd have won 3 NCAA national championships and one NAIA national championship.

The 2014 Conference USA football season was a part of the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season and was played from August 2014 through January 2015. The 2014 football season marks the 20th season of the Conference USA's existence and 19th of football competition; although C-USA was established in 1995, it did not begin football competition until 1996.

On March 12, it was announced that the 2020 NCAA tournament would be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The decision whether to continue with an abbreviated season was left to individual schools and conferences.

The Thundering Herd, led by seventh-year head coach Dan D'Antoni, played their home games at the Cam Henderson Center as members of the East Division of Conference USA. They finished the season 15–7, 9–5 in C-USA play to finish in third place in the East Division. They were defeated in the second round of the C-USA Tournament by Rice.

The conference consists of 14 members in two divisions. It will be part of the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season.

2021 Marshall Thundering Herd mens soccer team

The 2021 Marshall Thundering Herd men's soccer team will represent Marshall University in men's college soccer during the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. It will be the 43rd season the university fielded a men's varsity soccer program. The Thundering Herd, led by fifth-year head coach Chris Grassie, will play their home games at Veterans Memorial Soccer Complex as members of Conference USA (C-USA).
