The 2021 Rice Owls baseball team represented Rice University in the sport of baseball for the 2021 college baseball season. The Owls competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and in Conference USA West Division. They played their home games at Reckling Park in Houston, Texas. The team was coached by Matt Bragga, who was in his third season with the Owls.

For the first time since joining Conference USA in 2005, Rice did not qualify for this season's conference tournament. The Owl's broke their 14-year appearance in the tournament. On May 24, 2021, Rice announced that coach Bragga was relieved from his coaching duties. [2]

The 2014 Houston Cougars baseball team represented the University of Houston in the 2014 intercollegiate baseball season. Houston competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in its inaugural season as a member of the American Athletic Conference. The 2018 Florida Gators baseball team represented the University of Florida in the sport of baseball during the 2018 college baseball season. The Gators competed in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They played their home games at Alfred A. McKethan Stadium on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus. The team was coached by Kevin O'Sullivan in his eleventh season as Florida head coach. The Gators entered the season as the defending national champions, having defeated LSU two games to none in the championship series of the 2017 College World Series.

The 2018 Rice Owls football team represented Rice University in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Owls played their home games at the Rice Stadium in Houston, Texas, and competed in the West Division of Conference USA (C–USA). They were led by first-year head coach Mike Bloomgren. They finished the season 2–11, 1–7 in C-USA play to finish in a tie for sixth place in the West Division.

Matthew A. Bragga is an American baseball coach and former Utility player, who is the current head baseball coach of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles. He played college baseball at Kentucky for coach Keith Madison from 1991 to 1994. He then served as the head coach of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles (2004–2018) and the Rice Owls (2019–2021).

The 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began February 15, 2019. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and 2019 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended on June 26, 2019. The Vanderbilt Commodores won the tournament, and were consequently named national champions.

2020 Florida Atlantic Owls baseball team

The 2020 Florida Atlantic Owls baseball team represented Florida Atlantic University in the sport of baseball for the 2020 college baseball season. The Owls competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Conference USA. They played their home games at FAU Baseball Stadium, on the university's Boca Raton, Florida campus. The team was coached by John McCormack, who was in his eleventh season at Florida Atlantic. On March 16, 2020, the Conference USA announced that all spring sport competition and championships, including baseball, have been cancelled.

The 2020 Conference USA football season was the 25th season of college football play for Conference USA (C-USA). It was played from September 3, 2020 until December 18, 2020. The league consisted of 14 members in two divisions. It was part of the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season.

The 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season is the ongoing 152nd season of college football in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at its highest level of competition, the Football Bowl Subdivision. It began on August 28, 2021, and is scheduled to end on December 11. The postseason will begin on December 18, and, aside from any all-star games that are scheduled, end on January 10, 2022, with the College Football Playoff National Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. This will be the eighth season of the College Football Playoff (CFP) system.
