2021 MotoAmerica Supersport Championship

The 2021 MotoAmerica Supersport Championship season was the 7th season of the supersport class of motorcycle racing within the MotoAmerica series. Richie Escalante entered the season as the defending champion, picking up his first MotoAmerica supersport title in 2020. [1] However, the 9-round season concluded with Sean Dylan Kelly picking up his first MotoAmerica supersport title. [2] This was enough to secure Kelly a move to Moto2 for 2022. [3]

British Supersport Championship is a support series to the British Superbike Championship (BSB) for engine capacities smaller than Superbike. British Supersport runs one or two rounds per weekend at each BSB event. The BSS championship is seen as a stepping stone for the younger talent to progress to the British Superbike Championship or to World level classes. Jason Pridmore is a retired American professional motorcycle racer who turned professional in 1990. He last raced professionally in the 2014 FIM World Endurance Championship on a BMW S1000RR for Team Penz 13. His professional career spanned 22 years, during which he won 21 American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) national races 17 of which are Superstock class wins which is second to Scott Russell. The Championship of Texas, formerly known as AutoParts4Less.com MotoAmerica Championship of Texas, for sponsorship reasons, is a MotoAmerica race that was held for the first time in the 2015 season at Circuit of the Americas. It is usually the first or second race on the MotoAmerica schedule. MotoGP and MotoAmerica have raced in the same weekend at Circuit of the Americas from 2015-2019, were due to race again for the 2020 and 2021 season but it got cancelled. For the 2022 season, MotoAmerica will act as a support event for the 2022 Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas once again which is scheduled to be on April 8-10.

Sean Dylan Kelly is an American motorcycle racer, competing for the American Racing team in the 2022 Moto2 World Championship. He previously competed in the AMA Supersport Championship with the M4 Ecstar Suzuki team, having won the championship in 2021.

The 2022 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship season was the 46th season of the premier class of circuit-based motorcycle racing in the United States and the 8th since its renaming to MotoAmerica.
