Anastasija Sevastova was the defending champion, but lost in the second round to Patricia Maria Țig.

The 2021 WTA Argentina Open was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the first edition of the tournament since 1987 and first as part of the 2021 WTA 125 tournaments. It took place at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina between 1 and 7 November 2021.

This was the first edition of the tournament.

Elisabetta Cocciaretto was the defending champion but chose not to participate.

This was the first edition of the women's event.

Simona Halep defeated Veronika Kudermetova in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Melbourne Summer Set 1. It was Halep's 23rd WTA Tour-level singles title, and her first in Australia.

Iga Świątek defeated Anett Kontaveit in the final, 6–2, 6–0 to win the singles title at the 2022 WTA Qatar Open. This tournament marked the beginning of an eventual 37-match and six-title winning streak by Świątek.

Martina Trevisan defeated Claire Liu in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Morocco Open. It was her maiden WTA Tour title.

Yulia Putintseva was the defending champion, but was defeated in the semifinals by Aleksandra Krunić.

Irina-Camelia Begu defeated Lucia Bronzetti in the final, 6–2, 6–2 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Internazionali Femminili di Palermo. It was her fifth career WTA Tour singles title, her first since 2017. Bronzetti was contesting her first career singles final.

Mayar Sherif defeated Maria Sakkari in the final, 7–5, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Emilia-Romagna Open. It was her maiden WTA Tour title, and Sherif became the first Egyptian to win a WTA Tour singles title.

Aryna Sabalenka defeated Iga Świątek in the final, 6–3, 3–6, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Madrid Open. It was her fifth WTA 1000 title. This marked the first time since 2013 that the top two seeds contested the Madrid Open final. It was also the first time since 2000 that the top two players on the WTA Tour contested back-to-back finals, after Świątek won in Stuttgart the week prior.

Elisabetta Cocciaretto defeated Clara Burel in the final, 7–5, 4–6, 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 Swiss Open. It was her first WTA Tour title. Cocciaretto saved multiple match points during the tournament—one match point against Céline Naef in the first round, and a further match point in the semifinals against Anna Bondár.

Sára Bejlek won the singles title at the 2023 Copa LP Chile, defeating Diane Parry in the final, 6–2, 6–1.

Ajla Tomljanović won the singles title at the 2023 MundoTenis Open, defeating Martina Capurro Taborda in the final, 6–1, 7–5. She saved four match points in her second-round match against İpek Öz en route to her maiden WTA 125 title.

Diana Shnaider was the reigning champion, but chose not to participate.
