The Big East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference that competes in NCAA Division I in 10 men's sports and 12 women's sports. Headquartered in New York City, the 11 full-member schools are primarily located in Northeast and Midwest metropolitan areas. The conference was officially recognized as a Division I multi-sport conference on August 1, 2013, and since then conference members have won NCAA national championships in men's basketball, women's cross country, field hockey, men's lacrosse, and men's soccer. The Big East Conference men's soccer tournament is the conference championship tournament in soccer for the Big East Conference. The single-elimination tournament has been held every year since the Big East Conference realignment in 2013. In 2023, the tournament expanded from six to eight teams, coinciding with the Big East adding Akron as a single-sport member and increasing its men's soccer lineup to 12 teams. The conference has split into East and Midwest divisions for scheduling purposes, although it will maintain a single league table. Seeding for the tournament is based on regular season conference records. The team with the best overall conference record will earn the top seed; the second seed will be the team from the opposite division with the best conference record. All remaining seeds will be based on the overall conference table. With the expansion to an eight-team bracket, byes have been eliminated; instead, the top four seeds will host quarterfinal matches, with the survivors advancing to a predetermined site for the semifinals and final. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I men's soccer championship.

The tournament was held at campus sites, with the higher seed hosting. The ten-team single-elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Furman Paladins were the defending champions but were unable to defend their crown, losing 4–2 in the final to the Samford Bulldogs. This was the fourth Southern Conference tournament title for the Samford women's soccer program, all four of which have come under coach Todd Yelton. As tournament champions, Samford earned the Southern Conference's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The 2021 Big South Conference men's soccer tournament was the postseason men's soccer tournament for the Big South Conference held from November 7 through November 14, 2021. The tournament was hosted on the campus of the higher seed each game. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. High Point were the defending champions. However, they were unable to defend their crown, falling in to Campbell in the final. The conference tournament title was the seventh for the Campbell men's soccer program and the third for head coach Dustin Fonder. The title was Campbell's third in the last four years and their seven titles is two more than any other Big South men's soccer program. As tournament champions, Campbell earned the Big South's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.

The 7-match tournament was held at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas. The 8-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The TCU Horned Frogs were the defending champions from 2021.

As tournament champions, Georgetown earned the Big East's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament.

They were unable to defend their title, losing as the sixth seed in the first round to Providence. Xavier finished as tournament champions after defeating Georgetown in a penalty shoot-out in the Final. This was the first Big East title in program history for Xavier, and the first for head coach John Higgins. As tournament champions, Xavier earned the Big East's automatic place in the 2023 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.
