<i>River City</i> Glasgow-based soap opera

River City is a Scottish television soap opera that was first broadcast on BBC One Scotland on 24 September 2002. River City follows the lives of the people who live and work in the fictional district of Shieldinch. In November 2017, a short crossover episode of the show was made for Children in Need and featured several of the show's characters meeting characters from Scottish sitcom Scot Squad. In March 2020, production of River City was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and filming recommenced in August 2020. In place of new episodes, a select number of "classic" episodes were aired. In February 2022, it was announced the cast were back filming another series. In March of the same year the show returned to its original broadcast pattern of two half-hour episodes a week.

BAFTA in Scotland is the Scottish branch of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Formed in 1986, the branch holds two annual awards ceremonies recognising the achievement by performers and production staff in Scottish film, television and video games. These Awards are separate from the British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Film Awards.

The British Academy Television Craft Awards is an accolade presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), a charitable organisation established in 1947, which: "supports, promotes and develops the art forms of the moving image – film, television and video games – by identifying and rewarding excellence, inspiring practitioners and benefiting the public."

The 24th British Academy Scotland Awards were held on 16 November 2014 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, honouring the best Scottish film and television productions of 2013. Presented by BAFTA Scotland, accolades are handed out for the best in feature-length film that were screened at British cinemas during 2013. The Nominees were announced on 23 October 2014. The ceremony was broadcast online via YouTube and was hosted by Hazel Irvine.

The 25th British Academy Scotland Awards were held on 15 November 2015 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, honouring the best Scottish film and television productions of 2015. Presented by BAFTA Scotland, accolades are handed out for the best in feature-length film that were screened at British cinemas during 2015. The Nominees were announced on 13 October 2015. Lewis Marc Capaldi is a Scottish singer-songwriter and musician. He was nominated for the Critics' Choice Award at the 2019 Brit Awards. Capaldi also won the 2020 Brit Award for Best New Artist. In March 2019, his single "Someone You Loved" (2018) topped the UK Singles Chart where it remained for seven weeks, and in November 2019, it reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100; it was nominated at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and won the 2020 Brit Award for Song of the Year. "Someone You Loved" was the bestselling single of 2019 in the UK. Mizero Ncuti Gatwa is a Rwandan-Scottish actor. He began his career on stage at the Dundee Repertory Theatre. He was nominated for an Ian Charleson Award for his performance as Mercutio in a 2014 production of Romeo & Juliet at HOME. Gatwa had his breakout role as gay teenager Eric Effiong in the Netflix comedy-drama series Sex Education (2019–2023), which earned him a BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Actor in Television and three BAFTA Television Award nominations for Best Male Comedy Performance. In 2022, he was cast as the fifteenth incarnation of The Doctor in Doctor Who.

The 2019 British Academy Television Awards were held on 12 May 2019 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The nominations were announced on 28 March 2019, whilst the nominees for the "Virgin TV's Must-See Moment" were announced on 27 March 2019. The 2019 British Academy Television Craft Awards were held on 28 April 2019.

The 31st British Academy Scotland Awards were held on 20 November 2021 at BBC Pacific Quay in a socially distanced, closed-studio show, honouring the best Scottish film and television productions of 2020. The nominations were announced by Edith Bowman on 13 October 2021.

The 2022 ARIA Music Awards were the 36th Annual Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards and consist of a series of awards, including the 2022 ARIA Artisan Awards, ARIA Fine Arts Awards and the ARIA Awards. The ARIA Awards ceremony occurred on 24 November 2022, broadcast on Nine Network and live-streamed via YouTube from Hordern Pavilion, Sydney. Modifications were Best Artist became Best Solo Artist, Best Dance/Electronic Release replaced Best Dance Release, Mix Engineer – Best Mixed Album instead of Engineer of the Year and Producer – Best Produced Album changed from Producer of the Year. Entries for all categories closed on 12 August 2022 and final nominees were announced on 12 October.
