Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. Mobility Resort Motegi (モビリティリゾートもてぎ) is a motorsport venue located in Motegi, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Originally named Twin Ring Motegi (ツインリンクもてぎ), the venue's name came from the facility having two race tracks: a 2.493 km (1.549 mi) oval track and a 4.801 km (2.983 mi) road course. It was built in 1997 by Honda Motor Co., Ltd., as part of the company's effort to bring the Championship Auto Racing Teams series to Japan, helping to increase their knowledge of American open-wheel racing. The oval was last raced on in 2010 by the Indycar Series. On 1 March 2022, the name of the track was changed to Mobility Resort Motegi, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the facility. The road course's most notable event is the Japanese motorcycle Grand Prix.

The 2010 Formula Renault 2.0 UK Championship was the 22nd British Formula Renault Championship. The season began at Thruxton on 3 April and ended on 10 October at Brands Hatch, after twenty rounds held in England, and for the first time since 2006, Scotland. Making its debut in the series in 2010 was the new-specification car, designed by Barazi-Epsilon, replacing the Tatuus chassis that had been in the series since 2000.

Thomas George Bridewell is an English motorcycle racer in the British Superbike Championship aboard a Ducati Panigale V4 R. Following several seasons with Oxford Products, for 2023 he will switch to Paul Bird Racing on a factory-supported Ducati.

The British Supersport Championship, National Superstock 1000 & 600 and the British Motostar Championship are the four main championship series that are run as support races alongside the British Superbike Championship. In 2012 the Motostar category replaced the defunct 125cc category that had been running since the start of the British Superbike Championship in 1988, Motostar was open to both 125 and 250 machines similar to Moto 3 machines. The Supersport racing started in 1989 and is a class comprising 600cc Motorcycles that are allowed racing modifications and custom tuning. It wasn't until 2000 that the Superstock 1000 category replaced the defunct 250cc category, with the Superstock 600 championship being the newest addition on the support series in 2008. In 2010 the Superstock 1000 and Superstock 600 categories also supported the British rounds of the Superbike World Championship and the Moto GP both at Silverstone.

The 2011 Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship season was the 24th running of the British Supersport Championship. The supersport series is made up of 2 classes Supersport and Supersport cup, the cup is for younger competitors who are finding their way into the series. Supersport motorcycles have 600cc engines and are allowed to be tuned, after market parts and racing parts can be added to the bikes to elevate it above the feeder Superstock series.
For the 2011 season, the Supersport bikes will have two races per meeting for the first time, one on the Saturday which will be 75% of the full race distance and one on Sunday which will be full race distance. Full points will count in both races.
With 2010 Champion Sam Lowes moving to the World Supersport Championship and runner up James Westmoreland moving up to British Superbike Championship the field was wide open for the returning Alastair Seeley riding the new Suzuki Supersport bike.
It would turn out to be a battle between Seeley and Ben Wilson throughout the season with tight elbow to elbow racing at all rounds, Seeley would eventually come out on top in the last race of the year to win the Supersport Championship by a single point.

The 2011 Formula Renault 2.0 UK Championship is a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across England. The championship features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers competing in 2 litre Formula Renault single seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. It forms part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece. This season will be the 23rd British Formula Renault Championship.

Cars compete in five classes with a car's class decided on horsepower, momentum, equipment, etc. It is the 14th season of a Britcar championship, the 5th run as the Britcar Endurance Championship and the 1st run as the Dunlop Britcar Endurance Championship. The championship began on 26 March at Silverstone and ended on 13 November at Brands Hatch.

Nicholas John Halstead is a British racing driver, software engineer and entrepreneur currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship, driving for Bristol Street Motors with EXCELR8. Halstead has previously competed in British GT and the Ginetta GT4 Supercup. He won the AM title in the 2018 Ginetta GT5 Challenge, and made his British Touring Car Championship debut at Croft in 2021, substituting for Rick Parfitt Jr. at Excelr8 with TradePriceCars.com.
