It was the fifteenth edition of the tournament which was part of the 2022 ITF Women's World Tennis Tour. It took place in Landisville, Pennsylvania, United States between 8 and 14 August 2022.

Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková defeated Caty McNally and Taylor Townsend in the final, 3–6, 7–5, 6–1 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 US Open. With the win, they became the first women's pair to complete the career Super Slam in doubles. It was their sixth major title together.

Anastasia Dețiuc and Miriam Kolodziejová defeated Arantxa Rus and Tamara Zidanšek in the final, 1–6, 6–3, [10–8] to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 Emilia-Romagna Open. This was both players' first WTA Tour doubles title.

Anna Danilina and Alexandra Panova defeated Miriam Kolodziejová and Angela Kulikov in the final, 6–4, 6–2 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2023 Hamburg European Open.
