It was the 15th edition of the tournament and part of the 2022 WTA 125 tournaments series, offering a total of $115,000 in prize money. It took place at the Palais des Sports de Beaublanc in Limoges, France, from 11 to 17 December 2022.

Vitalia Diatchenko was the defending champion but withdrew before the tournament began.

Aryna Sabalenka defeated Linda Nosková in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–4) to win her 11th WTA Tour singles title. She did not drop a set during the tournament. Nosková reached her first WTA Tour final after saving a match point in the first qualifying round against Anna Kalinskaya, and a further match point in the quarterfinals against Victoria Azarenka.

Maria Sakkari defeated Caroline Dolehide in the final, 7–5, 6–3 to win the singles title at the 2023 Guadalajara Open. She did not lose a set en route to her first WTA 1000 title and her second WTA Tour singles title overall, and her first WTA title since 2019, following six successive runner-up finishes. Dolehide reached her first WTA Tour singles final after saving four match points in the second set of the quarterfinals against Martina Trevisan. Ranked No. 111, she became the second finalist ranked outside the Top 100 after Svetlana Kuznetsova since the introduction of the format in 2009.
