He became the sixth player to win consecutive titles at the Monte-Carlo Masters in the Open Era. The win also earned him his second Masters 1000 title and his eighth career singles title overall.

Holger Rune defeated Botic van de Zandschulp in the final by retirement, 3–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Bavarian International Tennis Championships. It was Rune's first ATP Tour title, making him the third-youngest tournament champion in the Open Era and the first Dane to win an ATP title since Kenneth Carlsen at 2005 Memphis. Van de Zandschulp was also contesting for his first title in his first tour final.

It was his maiden ATP Tour title, and he saved two match points en route, in his quarterfinal match against Kamil Majchrzak. Hüsler became the fourth Swiss man, after Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka and Marc Rosset, to win an ATP Tour title in the 21st century.

Holger Rune defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 6–4, 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Stockholm Open. It was his second career ATP Tour singles title.

Holger Rune defeated the defending champion Novak Djokovic in the final, 3–6, 6–3, 7–5 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Paris Masters. It was his first Masters 1000 title, and he saved three match points en route, in the first round against Stan Wawrinka. Rune made his top-10 debut in the ATP rankings with the win, and he defeated five top-10 players en route to the title. This was Rune's fourth final in a row, and his third title. He became the second teenager to win a Masters 1000 title in the 2022 season, after Carlos Alcaraz at Miami and Madrid. Rune was the first Scandinavian to win a Masters 1000 title since Robin Söderling at the 2010 Paris Masters.
