The 2022 Women's Premier League (also known as the Deloitte Women's Premier League due to sponsorship reasons with audit firm Deloitte [1] ) is the top-flight women's football league in Singapore. The 22nd season commenced on Saturday, 28 May 2022.
Deloitte Singapore became the first title sponsor [1] for Singapore's top-flight women's football league since its launch in August 2000. The league returns after a two-year pandemic-enforced absence and will feature seven clubs in its 21st season. All matches will be held at the Yishun Stadium with free admission. [2]
The league champions will receive S$25,000, while the second and third placed teams will receive S$10,000 and S$7,500 respectively. [2]
Lion City Sailors secured the 2022 Deloitte Women's Premier League title off the back of an unbeaten run with two matches left. [3]
Albirex Niigata (S) announced on 3 May 2022 that a new women's team was established and will compete in the Women's Premier League. [4]
Hougang United are also making their debut, banding together with players from Middle Rangers FC and adding fresh players from the National University of Singapore. [5]
Lion City Sailors will also be playing in Premier League [5] for the first time under its new name after being privatised in 2020. [6]

The Singapore Premier League, commonly abbreviated as SPL,, is a men's professional football league sanctioned by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), which represents the sport's highest level in the Singapore football league system.
Albirex Niigata (S) is a professional football club based in Jurong East, Singapore, which plays in the Singapore Premier League. The club is a satellite team of Albirex Niigata of Japan. Mostly the team is made up of university students from Japan and also academy players from J1 League.

Woodlands Lions is a Singaporean football club founded by R. Vengadasalam, who was formerly the General Manager of Woodlands Wellington FC in 2022. In 2021, they announced that they hoped to fill the void left by Woodlands Wellington (WWFC) and Sembawang Rangers, which exited Singapore's professional football league in 2014 and 2003 respectively.
