The 2023 Dutch Open (officially referred to as the 2023 TOTO Dutch Open Darts) was the 50th edition of the Dutch Open organised by the World Darts Federation and Nederlandse Darts Bond. The tournament was held at the De Bonte Wever in Assen, Netherlands. [1]

Contents

The final day of the tournament was broadcast on RTL7. [2] Matches could also be followed via the DartConnect application software. [3]

Jelle Klaasen was defending his men's title, but lost in the semi-finals to Andy Baetens. Beau Greaves was defending her women's title, but lost in the final match to Aileen de Graaf who won fourth title of this tournament. [3]

The first byes went to the seeded players, but after that the byes were equally divided across the sheets in a random place on the sheet. [5] The list of seeds and invited players was as follows. Jelle Klaasen, nicknamed The Cobra, is a Dutch professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). In 2006, he became the youngest darts player to win the World Darts Championship, aged 21 at the time. He also is a Dutch Open champion.

The Darts World Rankings are systems designed to determine a list of the best darts players in the world based on their performances in past tournaments.

The 2006 Lakeside World Professional Darts Championship was held from 7 to 15 January 2006 at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey. Defending champion Raymond van Barneveld was aiming to win a fifth BDO world title, equalling the record set by Eric Bristow. However, he was beaten 7–5 in the final by Dutch qualifier Jelle Klaasen; the final was the first and only World Darts Championship final to not feature a British player. Klaasen became the youngest World Champion at age 21 and became the first qualifier to win the World Championship since Keith Deller in 1983, who became the youngest World Champion himself, aged 23. This would eventually be Van Barneveld's last appearance at the Lakeside as he would switch to the rival Professional Darts Corporation the next month.

Gary James Grant Anderson is a Scottish professional darts player playing in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). The RTL7 Masters was a professional darts tournament held at the Hotel Zuiderduin in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands, between 18 and 21 March 2011. It was the second of the seven non-ranking Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events in the 2011 season. The competition was created by RTL 7 as a new darts tournament to be staged in the Netherlands and was contested by 12 players: six from the Netherlands and six foreigners in four groups of three.

He is the reigning 2023 WDF World Darts champion, becoming the first Belgian player to win a world title.
